  • how long does 1 can go for b4 there is no more production and whats the liters per min

  • you get about one cubic foot per can.. so go figure.. it out. you can lean out your engine when using oxygen.. you could lift the alumium out of the solution. fortunately you only have h2 and not hoh.

  • how about you light it because that isnt hydrogen

  • hay james! i know this is an old video of yours but, you should try this

Copper sulfate, distilled water, sulferic acid, and Zinc = Hydrogen! much better than lye and Aluminum.. the reaction doesn't cause the water to become innodated with aluminum oxide. and its not as endothermic.

  • how long would you say that could go?

  • i just suscribed. this video is amazing.. so theres no electricity what so ever? or is the electricity only used for hho it apears to me this is only hydrogen am i right?

  • its really good and easy dude but I COULD NOT GET LYE OR POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE please help me

  • @a1king100 chemical reaction = uncontrolable. electricity = controlable, you'll never see these in cars for this reason. Buy a $15 computer power supply and some stainless steel, stop messing with chemicals.

  • @a1king100 LYE is potasium hydroxide (KOH) Sodium hydroxide is another type of lye, common in stump remover.

  • Very cool.

  • Put lye in a glass container and see what happens.

  • @dabaron332 Not much really, it will react slowly with glass if the solution is concentrated and hot, though molten NaOH will rapidly etch glass to produce sodium silicate.

  • You really are a genius. I don't believe it, no electrolysis needed. Although water + baking soda/salt is probably cheaper in the long run than aluminium + sodium hydroxide. But still well thought up, it could give a constant supply to a blowtorch or something.

  • reaction is

    al + naoh = h2

    no oxygen made

  • @AHW214

that is not the reaction the reaction is:

    NaOH+Al=H2+Na2AlO3

  • thats pretty gd.. drive wt soda cans

  • are ya gonna make a torch with it

  • Well there goes my $800 + on stainless steal HHo Cells i made this is very cheap and very interesting! Chug a beer, smash with your fore head insert in jar, and add lye. Wow!!

  • how long will it produce hydrogen for on one aluminum can?

  • thats fucking crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey try to use a lighter on the bubles but first put a backflash resistor on the tube

  • where hardware store can u buy sodium hydroxide?

  • ace

  • thank you

  • Nice one, mate! Thanks. ☺ Keep up the good stuff!

  • Nicely done man. You can get a similar output with any acid + metal mixture too, Fe + H2SO4 being the classic. They'd use cells containing the stuff to fill dirigibles pre-Hindenburg.

  • Did it get hot and light, what was that flash/pop.

  • what do you mean? at the end it got warm then the output increased dramatically. I got it under control in part 2.

  • At 2:29-2:30 there was a flash then you said " Oh its' , ok thats it , thanks "

    What was the flash.

  • The flash seems to me to have come from the camera. Just a thought.

  • But he sean it to, and said "Oh its". If it was just the cam how did he se it too.

I'm just woundering , no big deal.
