  • I can't find the studio version ANYWHERE! I HATE live versions. Does anyone know where the studio version is?

  • @mikeellerbeck1 Not sure, but you could always get the Russel Morris original.

  • @mikeellerbeck1 It was actually released as a single back in the early 2000s (just looked at your comment saw it was a year old but I hope this helps)

  • This is the ONLY Cover in the entire world that is parralel (if not possibly, for the first time ever, BETTER, than) the original. But i HATE covers. So i cant actually say that. . I LOVE the original. I mean, love, love, love it. Russel Morris is legendary. But this cover is the Business. (as long as you can ignore the initial ramblings ... Peter. I love you. I love your music and your messages and reckon you could do more good continuing with that than politics. Love Jess.

  • Remebering of course, that this is a LIVE cover version of the Real Thing.

Pete ... You Are the Real Thing.

I am just a poxy Expat whose become a patriot.... of You. You Ausse Legend.

  • used to absolutely love seeing the guys perform this and everything else...how we all miss you !!!!!!

  • 20 years ago I was Russel Morris's promotions manager, Midnight Oil did not do this song justice. As Molly Meldrum would say "do yourself a favor", go and see the original version. Thankyou for the up-load.

  • I think the oils did the song great justice

    as did Russel.....

  • Pardon the pun, but the Oils did there own thing,I feel Peter Garret over did the political stuff a bit to much, mabie that is why he is where he is now. Thankyou for your comment, it's nice to be able to respond to some one with a level head. - Cheers - 10past2.

  • 20 Years ago?? What are you now other than bitter! Both versions are good but different. Remember this is live too and probably on played a few times.

  • In no way am I bitter, just proud and feel extremely fortunate to have been able to be involved with such brilliant artists. Each to their own.

  • Sounds like Peter GAret was doing an environmental speech then!

    What no epilleptic attack?

  • excelent!!! WHY DON´T RETURN TO SCENE MIDNIGHT OIL, GROUPS LIKE THAT NO EXIST NOW

  • They played on the 15th and 16th in Byron ..

  • WHAT MONTH AND YEAR?

  • AUG 2000

  • thanks for that
