I saw BC on their most recent tour, it's so sad that Stuart is no longer with us, but the guy they had singing was so respectful of him, you could just tell how much he admired the guy. Great band, so under appreciated.
I commented on how hard a cover is to "equal or exceed" on another BC video. Here again, I find an attempt by BC on an even bigger song than, "Don't Fear The Reaper" by BOC. I have to say that this is an "Equal" Maybe squeaking by a superior note. Their is a mindfully excellent execution of an original composition done with a "choice" selection of musicians and instrumental choice. The result is as haunting as the original while being even more nuanced. BRAVO!
Like many others have commented, I can't believe how talented these guys are (were; RIP Stuart). I was blown away by Big Country when they first hit the music scene in the early 80's. Even then they were underated. I guess some people just don't understand the pure musicianship it requires to play something like this live. Thanks for posting this, I went out of my way to find and buy the DVD and the CD
Don't always like Beatles covers but this is brilliant.Looking forward to Big Countrys30th Anniversary tour in Liverpool next week.R.I.P Stuart Adamson.
this make s me sad and happy sad for the loss of stuart , but happy that i was able to share, in the music , and joy of big country, they will live on in history as being one of the best ever live bands, they needed no gimmiics

Only Big Country could cover this song this well. I too rarely like covers of Beatles songs, but this is really, really good!

You won't hear a better Beatles cover anywhere. God bless your soul, Stuart Adamson. It was a pleasure to have met this hugely talented man.

We will never know why Stuart Adamson couldn't take his own best advice and "stayed alive".
