No reason for the rise in PSA.. it may be age, weight, diet, inflammation... just that it is 4+ and should be watched closely every 4 months. The PCA3 genetic test gives me some confidence.
For me I am a case study at the VA for Agent Orange anyway....
I just got my PSA test and it was 3.9 and it had been under 2.5 for several years. I'm 62yo. My Dr scheduled me for a Boipsy and so far the only words I have heard is cancer... I have some hope for now. Thanx
@RevFastEddy Cancer with a PSA of 4 is only about 20% so you are pretty good. The biopsy is nothing, it is the next 2 weeks pissing blood that gets me. Good luck.... BTW get a PCA3 genetic test also.. it can have better results predicting cancer.
wow....I am so glad to hear all this....5 minutes ago I got a call from my docs office that my physical blood tests showed an elevation in my PSA, I am 54 years old and they said my psa was 3.61, this video makes me feel alot better....I was freaking out
@RevFastEddy Thx for replying. So your PSA went from 2.5 for several years to 3.9 to 4.8. to 6.6 and no cancer? Great news!! Did the doctors have a reason for the rise in the PSA? Were they more concerned about the level; e.g., above 4.0, or the per cent increase? Thanks.

1/10/12 4.8
5/2/11 6.6 , Biopsy, PSA3 17
4/9/10 4.5 , Biopsy, PSA3 30+
I had PSA3 test done in conjunction with biopsies each time and no cancer found... I am still very concerned but feel better about what is happening.
