You don't have to use a capo. Sorry I should have made that more clear. I'd heard different versions of the song with capo's at the first and third frets and so I wanted to make sure people understood that. Using a capo will only benefit you if you want to play in the exact key it was written. If you don't use a capo, then that is fine. The only thing you won't be able to do is play along to the original song. Hope this helps and again, sorry for not clarifying this.

just just do everything the same and it should turn out okay, but this song was written with an acoustic guitar in mind, so you'll get a very different feel to it.

I do believe I mentioned in the video where in his music video he plays with it on the 3rd but in the tabs i reviewed it was shown with capo 1st. If it was just to difficult for you to understand then I apologize.

ya the chorus was very difficult and its too difficult for me to type out. However as a rule of thump, listen to my cover of the song for help with the strum pattern, I basically just add a lot of extra strums into the original verse strum pattern (and take out the slapping). If all else fails... make your own strum pattern for it, there is nothing wrong with personalizing a song. =D

to be honest I didn't have a set way to strum it, I just kinda felt it out. But for the strumming on the verse I did 2 strums and then a slap, 2 more strums and a slap, then 3 strums and a slap and 3 more strums and a slap. Obviously these strums were not equally spaced out, however. my slaps are. I slap on the 2nd and 4th beat.

Cracking tutorial man thank you ive almost got this down. One thing though is the 'click' noise you make whilst strumming I really cannot get that to sound on my acoustic. I can hear it in justins original too. Whats your technique for it?

For the click im just hitting the guitar strings with my right hand.  I do it on the 2nd and 4th beats. Hope that helps.
