I know your not done making videos simply because u address the fact that u are going to be more busy outside from youtube and that's cool to bro keeping your life on the right track is the biggest priority second your title say's I'm baccck not I quit yeah I 'm getting shape up's and lined up at back to control split ends its kind of upsetting on one side because I want to retain my length but on the other hand is good 4 the future I hate take and give situations
got ma hair braided and its all good. one problem tho...it gets itchy and after like 10 days of ma braids being in i get dandruff on my scalp. normally i dont get dandruff when ma hair is out but yh... can you make a video saying what you use to grease/oil your scalp when your hair is BRAIDED.
In your next vid please mention:
1. what do you do to stop your hair scalp from getting flaky while u got cornrows
Dude why'd u get locs... well u do ur thing man but can u please check out videos ill be makin some more soon but im a be doin hair updates like u cuz ever since oct 09 i 've been.watching u and also rap videos and fish tank updates but please check me out man
When would you say it's a good time to start blow drying regularly. I'm at just under 2 months on growing my hair and I've started blow drying. Is that ok?
I had locs for a year and a half. Combed them out last week. Took a week to do, but I'm loving the length of my hair now. May start them again in August though.
i know its your head and all but personally i dont know if you look right with dreads you look better with your afro or braids you can try twist but dreads like said once they lock thats it.
At the end of the vid does your afro go down the side of your face like that or did you do something to it? cause i like the way it looks and i want to do that when i hit your length 2. when you had you afro did you cut they split ends yourself
@derick101495 Sorry I'm really late responding but to answer your question as my hair grew longer it began to just fall over to the sides whenever I picked/combed it out. I didn't do anything to it in particular to make it go down like in the pics
@AliElliot I wash my hair pretty much the same as I did before the twists/starter locs. Only thing different is that I squeeze the water out of them since they absorb a lot of water during washing
Lol, Dang I missed you bro!! The dreads are looking awesome right now, I'm gonna clip my hair over the summer, I need an end clip! But great having you back bro, Peace!
@Aliun625 Thanks, and yea clipping the ends is a must if you want your hair to grow to it's full potential so it's good that you're keeping up on that. A lot of ppl ignore it and then wonder why they're hair stops growing at a certain point
@calvin22duece good question...I wash it about the same. Right before I got my hair twisted when I still had braids I left them in for about 2weeks at a time so I washed my hair every two weeks when I took the out. Now I wash my hair about the same, the longest I've went so far without washing is 3weeks. A lot of ppl think it's bad to wash your hair when it's in the starting stage(s) of getting dreads but I did my research and it turns out clean hair actually locks up faster
@ebonie326 no offense takin i watch gemini and some of your vids as well i have braids for nearly two years when i said forever i didnt mean it litterally i did mean a longer period time. I have never seen a guy over 30 with braids your right tho both men with locs and braids get discriminated but locs.. not as much its actually becoming more socially accepted
Locs can take you places in life due to the fact that braids can bring a negative stereotype to people you cant keep them forever good look on your dread journey dont cut em
@lilslayer1212 what? no offense..but just like a man cant get braids forever, a man cant keep locs forever..men today still get discriminated when they have locs whether its well taken care of or neglected..men with hair period are discriminated..is it rght? no, not at all but u cant bash on braids when locs get bashed on too..
9yc vid.................U had me shook up bout da dreads but its still a journey..got my support 2 d end.......aldo u hve dreads i'll ask u braid ques sumtyms.........gudluk wit ur dread journey.......
@Fro2Braidz good question, that's one of the things I'll be talking about in my next vid (the reason why I am transitioning to locs) so look out for it coming very soon!
i like dreads but the only deal is with dreads is that well if you dont have the money to get your hair braided all the time you get dreads and let your hair lock up and never have to worry about combing your hair ever again but at the same time once they lock thats it you cant do much of anything with dreads once they lock so thats why i would get twist because they look like dreads but there not and they can just twist and they will grown.
@realmofblood for me it wasn't a matter of not having money, that's not an issue. I could have kept getting braids if I chose to. Dreads are actually more versatile than you think, you can get them styled in many different ways just like braids
@realmofblood they haven't fully locked yet but they're transitioning from twists to locs. I'm thinking they'll lock up more by the time summer is over (August/September) which will be about 6months into the locking process and hopefully they'll fully lock up (or become mature as some ppl put it) within a year or so give or take a month or two. I can't really say for sure at this point but we'll see as time progresses
@TheArtisticGemini Not even that, I just don't see the point in watching them if they're going to be about something I have no interest in (locks). Your afro & braid videos are good man. Don't diminish my support because of my opinion.
i feel u bro, i noe that happens to me too, get loads of messages lool from subscribers, urging and urgin, it happens wen ur vidoes are that good lol, take it as a positive though, but i agree ur college and stuff is more important. :D
@ismael19993 definitely bro, I love getting messages/comments and staying in touch with everyone who contacts me. You made a good point when you said it happens when the vids are that good. I feel as though the feedback I get on my vids reflects the amount of time and work I put into building my channel and helping to build our YouTube community of ppl who post hair updates
Glad to see you back homie u got me thinkin bout lockin up 2 the funny thing is i got 2 strand twist in my head right now lol but my fiance wont let me do it lol shell come around sooner or later haha .... but lemme ask you something u think locs is more or less maintenance than loose hair
@2ozman Thanks fam, I definitely think it's less maintenance plus they're not too hard to take care of yourself. I've been re-twisting mine whereas wit braids I always had to either schedule an appointment or find someone I knew to braid my hair. The whole washing process is A LOT easier too since I don't have to worry about taking my braids out, washing, detangling, and drying. I feel that in the long run they'll fit me and my lifestyle better than loose hair
@TheArtisticGemini wow tht comment just made me consider locking up even more because the detangling process is sooo tidious tho only thing is i get my hair braided for free i know for sure if i didnt have my girl i woulda been locked up cuz i couldnt take setting the appointments and paying cash like you said damn ima think hard thanks tho
@2ozman no doubt, I used to get mine done for free too but only straight-backs so I had to go to pay for styles at a salon...I might go back to get my twists re-twisted a couple times professionally (luckily my cousin has connections so I won't have to pay much) until they mature then I plan on maintaining them myself 100%. I know ppl who pay $40-60 to get re-twisted but I have no clue why, I think it's just bcuz they don't have the time/patience to do it themselves bcuz it's not hard at all
@TheArtisticGemini yea i would think its easy to do because i play with my twist and do it so someone whos paying that much is crazy... i heard you only need a professional to start them then like the first 3 or 4 retwist and from there u can do it yourself.. did you start them at a salon?
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEA BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOT THE LOCS IN MAYNE!! CONGRATS I WAS THINKING OF GETTING LOCKS TOO BUT THE GF WAS GIVING ME HELL BOUT IT!! NOW THE BITCH IS GONE IMMA DO WHAT THE F**K I WANT!! WITH THAT SAID U BEEN GONE FOR AWHILE BUT DMAC MY BUDDY BEEN KEEPING UO UP TO DATE U SEEN =HOW THAT MOTHERFUKA HAIR BE GROWING MAYNE?? SHIT IM JEALOUS!!! BUT ITS ALL GOOD STILL LOVE MY HAIR ITS A YEAR N 1 MONTH THE 14 OF THIS MONTH SHIT A YEAR PASSED LIKE NOTHING!!! GOOD TO SEE U BACK BRUH!! PEACE
Congrats on school bro nice see you back aye do you man i know how it feels it feels good accomplishing something live your life get that degree your dreads looking good for 3 months wish you luck in everything u do god bless you one love peace
Nice man.I'm.going into my 10th month.keeping it braided.tough decision, on the love I been going back and forth.I know there more mature to wear than braids.looks nice
@MrMonroe77 yea i was going back and forth for a while but stayed with the braids until I knew 100% that I wanted locs. If you ever do make the decision just make sure you're 100% ready. I'm loving it so far though even though I'm going through the "frizzy stage" when a lot of ppl hate their starter locs the most. It just lets me know that my hair is transitioning and getting closer to becoming fully locked
wussup bro, good to see another Hair Journey. I can't even imagine how many "What happened to your hair journey vids?" questions you got. Shoot, ppl started messing ME on what happened to you! lol. I just had to tell em that you're coming back, just gotta have some patience.
But yea, the locs are looking good for 3 months. Pretty soon, you might be hittin up zayloc23 with some collabos. I'm debating on when I should do my transition, i just know for a fact that i wanna do it.
@DMacversion1 LMAO @ ppl messaging you, that's crazy! A collab wit him after mine mature would be dope! I'm sure yours are gonna lock fast when you transition, it just looks like your hair type would lock extra fast lol
i just wondering when was ur next update, but i wasnt expecting the twists lol. they look good on you tho. that fro was crazy thick, i cant wait til mines get like tha. spring semester end is right around the corner, and i hope u end it well. good vid
Wow man, that's awesome, your dreads are gonna gro tremendously, because you definintely know how to keep up your hair. Congrats man and can't wait to see another journey. Also, I'm graduatiing from H.S. saturday, and I was wondering, can you give me a few college tips bro?
@1lilcuz study hard, ask questions. Go to class. Get to know your professors. And Time Management, if you fail at TM you won't graduate. Remember you're paying to go there, and if you don't care about your classwork, neither will your professors. If it's a 3credit class=3 hrs minmum of studying outside of class more if you don't understand it.
@1lilcuz thanks, I appreciate it. Congrats on graduating! Tallgeese003 did a pretty good job at summing up the foundation to follow for college. Honestly, I would have said something very similar. Time management is very important. It's fine to go out and have fun but don't overdo it. Might sound cheesy but you have to put your work first. I usually only go out after I complete projects/assignments almost as a reward for the hard work I put in
@TheArtisticGemini I hear ya, and hey, that's not corny at all. I'm not the party type at all, so that part isn't gonna be the hard part. I just hate studying, which is what college is all about pretty much. Im looking into majoring in communications, so we'll so how that goes. Hopefully, Ill land a job in public relations
oooh getting locks. Have you thought about dying the tips? And I can understand that wanting to focus on school. You're like me man, Bringing home that degree!!!
@Tallgeese003 It's funny you asked that because my sis just suggested that the other day but I don't think I'll every dye my hair but who knows, there's no telling what the future will bring
corn rows are so stupid to have ha i love your locks But i loved your afro ha Should of kept it man

wussup bro, good to see another Hair Journey.
^Keep It Up^

Wow man, that's awesome, your dreads are gonna gro tremendously, because you definintely know how to keep up your hair. Congrats man and can't wait to see another journey. Also, I'm graduatiing from H.S. saturday, and I was wondering, can you give me a few college tips bro?
1lilcuz 10 months ago
@1lilcuz study hard, ask questions. Go to class. Get to know your professors. And Time Management, if you fail at TM you won't graduate. Remember you're paying to go there, and if you don't care about your classwork, neither will your professors. If it's a 3credit class=3 hrs minmum of studying outside of class more if you don't understand it.
Tallgeese003 10 months ago
@Tallgeese003 Thanks man i appreciate it.
1lilcuz 10 months ago

Tallgeese003 10 months ago
@Tallgeese003 It's funny you asked that because my sis just suggested that the other day but I don't think I'll every dye my hair but who knows, there's no telling what the future will bring
