The reason why it wouldn't let you do 2GB of RAM is that with java it will only let you allocate 1GB of ram on a windows 32bit system. if you want a more stable way to have multiple minecraft jar files, message me because i cant post link here.

Kurt, how about a new challenge? "Lost in the jungle!" Find a jungle, either a random seed your PC gave you, or an existing seed from the forums, your pick. Then get lost in it, and survive and build from the resources in it and under it. For what it's worth animals do sometimes spawn in jungles, and I do find a few leaf blocks that will drop apples for food, so there's a start of sorts. Let's see if you've got your jungle trekking skills honed to the degree needed! ;) Challenge yourself!

We tried to copy the Creeper General's tactic, making his journey as painful as we can, but somehow he managed to fix that "machine" everyone is talking about. He killed one of our soldiers, and blocked two from attacking. One soldier managed to spy on him at the spawner, and he reported, that the Farlander stole some of our resources, and left some trash what we must clean. And that pisses me up! Nobody can throw junk into our base! IT - IS - ON!!

When I try to view this video, the title scene of the video appears, then it gets a bit dark. The audio starts playing, but the video does not - it hangs on that first frame of the video. Skipping ahead does not fix the problem, nor does restarting my browser. Any suggestions? Also, some other videos by the same author play just fine, and other youtube videos play as well.

@kurtjmac , Minecraft gives itself 1 " GIG " if given ram is below 512MB because in most cases Java gives Minecraft normally 256 MB ram ( I am coding my own launcher so I know what I am talking about , it has an change ram option now ) . If it is above 512MB it uses the given ammount , which would happen not so likely . And lak spikes of death are caused of the so recent saving of worlds as I understood , if not using OptiFine , use it ;)

I found back in my pile of floppies an educational software called : "Orbits: Voyage through The Solar System". It's from 1991 so may be a bit outdated, but you could take a look at it, and maybe make a test of it. It can easily be found as abandonware. It works on Windows XP, except some animations are too fast, but otherwise it works well.
