Well, I'll say it square and simple: I don't like Anette singing songs that Tarja sung. And, I know that neither of them wrote the songs, Tuomas did. The thing is, instead of making us like Anette through songs that made us like Tarja ("Nemo", Wishmaster", "Sleeping Sun"), how about Nightwish making some of the Tarja fans like Anette through, you know, Anette songs? This is like Disney Ch. kids butchering Disney movie theme songs (Vanessa Hudgens vs. Vanessa Williams on Colors of the wind: NO.).
At least i know what to expect when i see them in Chicago. You kinda have to let go of Tarja and the expectation of how it would sound live anyway. Nightwish is whatever Tuomas says it is, i think they have opened themselves up for a broader range of music. i love Tarja too, but that time is gone for now. Annette is their singer, accept it or dont, it really doesnt matter.
ill be there in chicago as well, i saw them last year in october at the house of blues, they sound amazing there, very clear, im sorry but tarja is gone thank god, i saw them this year in may in mokena, they sounded alright but the venue was horrible. cant wait to see them back in house of blues!

Anette has so strong and nice voice. For those who don't like her - I can't see anything too bad about her. She sings it in her way - because she said she doesn't want to be second Tarja.

I´ve been watching the videos from rock am ring and rock im park and at least the ones from rock am ring look terrible..in the sense people looked like they couldn´t care less. I do know they had technical problems twice, but on rock im park the audience seemed a little more enthusiastic. To me they seem to have played awesome, so give us some feedback if you can.
at first the audience was a bit reserved! but maybe because they played mostly songs from "Dark Passion Play" at the beginning and many people there probably didn't know these songs very well (at least i didn't ;))
and i guess a lot people were a bit sceptical about Anette at first! but later when they played some of their hits or rather popular songs (like Nemo or Wish I Had An Angel) the crowd was more enthusiastic and at the end were a lot cheers and clapping. i think Anette did a great job!
