  • who ever talks trash about pavel please post your workout on yt and than we will see if oyu are good but i guess no one will do that because we will all see how fat you are DAMN YOU HATERS

  • has anyone done the naked warrior series? and if so do you recommend it if im just starting to get into body weight training?

  • I like Pavel's humor.

  • Pavel is cool! Why hate on a dude who's doing so much to help people?

  • the kettlebell is the single most significant piece of training equipment anyone in any sport will ever pick up, period point blank.

  • Thank you Pavel for spreading your knowledge to us. It is deeply appreciated.

  • i never realized how big his forearms were... with forearm muscles like those, he could easily knock someone out if not kill them just by punching

  • @aznkillercroc fear the guys with the strong core muscles not the forearms the arm is just the thing that hits not what generates the power for PUNCHING on the other hand if he grabbed you with those forearms it would probably be like sticking your bodypart in a metal press

  • Naked Warrior's training not for pussy-boys.

More of haters - big muscles, weak strength.

  • Pavel is cool, and KB are great tools to build strength and endurance. I go about 50% KBs and 50% free weights.

  • Pavel trained the Russian special forces so he knows a thing or two about conditioning.

  • some 1's dissin Pavel...what r u stupid....the guy trained the most elite killer in this world and now hes sharing his knowledge with the whole world....the guys a beast!!

  • Here's why there's all this hate twoards Pavel on this forum: the haters are nothing more than candy-ass pussies. KB training is brutal. They can't handle it. I've been working out with a myriad of exercises and techniques since before high school, and NO FORM OF resistance training is as tough (and rewarding) as KBs. I also have a degree in Exercise and Sport Science, so I know what I'm talking about.

  • i fully agree. though i have no degree in sport - related studies, i have tried many different training methods and the kb's came on top :) one thing i feel like i must state - i'm no athlete, i just workout to stay in shape. that's why i chose kettle bells - not only do i stay in shape, i'm in much better shape then ever :) an though kb training is really tough, i learned to enjoy it and now i can't live without it :) having that said, i strongly encourage everyone to try and endure it :)

  • @kcswimmin Some people have degrees in Exercise Science, but learned little to nothing. I think you're trying to say that kettlebell training makes resistance training at any intensity more convenient. With regards to intensity and physiological adaptations, any form of resistance training can produce the same results as kettlebell training. Kettlebells are great, but like any type of equipment, it still has limitations.

  • what the hell is a kettle BALL? It's a kettlebell.

  • Pavel is 10 times the man as you ever be, yes he makes money of fitness because thats his specialty.

Damm you people should understand that you are lucky thats he is in USA training your couch potato asses.

if you want to become strong stop reading magazines and just practice kettlebells every day.

Hope it didnt sound too harsh then my apologies.

  • The Russians have won a total of 273 gold medals in winter olympics as opposed the U.S.A's 191. I don't think it sucks to be Russian.

  • wow you must be life 3 yr old.

  • Let's also look at the type of sports the US won in. I'm American btw, and I LOVE my freaking country but the US did not win ANY medals in weightlifting. Russians dominated in wrestling again, as did other former USSR countries. I'm getting the pattern that we (US) do really well in swimming and track, but former USSR countries dominate (word is a bit of an understatement) in strength based events.

  • This was in the 2008 Olympics btw I idk about the rest of them. Funding from gov/sponsors may also be a factor. Funding is, for both US and Russia is given to the most popular sports. In the case of USA swimming was "it' in 08, and weightlifting is much more popular in the former USSR than in the US.

And before anyone jumps on me for having no life, all I had to do was click on medals, a country, then the event and pressed Ctrl+F to look for "United States" lol.

  • kumicho: I am no weightlifting expert-- but I can only tell you what Pavel's systems have done for me. They've done a lot for me. I'm much, much stronger than I was before I started lifting kbells.

Since you're not olympic class weightlifter, why not give it a try? Power to the People is an excellent book.

  • "Damm you people should understand that you are lucky thats he is in USA training your couch potato asses."

This is about as true as it gets.

  • Pavel's stuff works. Stop trying to downplay him as a "worthless trainer" when you've obviously never read any of his manuals.

  • excellent case study for a sales/marketing course.

  • he makes money off of fitness. get over it.

  • your response supports my statement - but there is nothing to "get over." the reality is that his marketing skill is superior to his training skill, which is indeed commendable. He spreads a tablespoon of jam over 20 pieces of toast and convinces consumers (even myself) to pay for it. How much is a "Kettlebell Certification" in Eastern Europe, or the kettlebells you see scattered all over their gyms like cock roaches? capit'sm works b/c other mfrs are justifiably reducing his mkt dominance.

  • wrong. there is something to get over. YOU need to get over the fact that he makes money by way of selling fitness products. how is his "marketing skill" superior to his "training skill"? I don't know how much a "Kettlebell Certification" is in Eastern Europe, nor do I care. neither should you, unless you want to open your own kettlebell gym or something like that. my response in no way supports your statement. there's nothing wrong with making money off of fitness. so, once again, GET OVER IT.

  • how? there is no subst'l diff btwn a set of swings or snatches w/ a $100 + dd kb and those w/a $50 kb from a diff reputable mfr (esp w/ sanded handle), but many pay for the former. and you'd have to spend over $300 in dvds from pavel to get half the info you can get, for example, in steve cotter's entire basic 4 dvd kb instruction set for roughly $100. . . some specific factual info to compliment your bullshit, tirade, "comrade." pavel had me hooked too for a moment.

  • mispoke, roughly $60 re cotter on ebay not $100.

  • @hypnosquirrel Are kettlebells a fad then? what do you think about them? I am not sure.

  • @blkettlebell i think that they are a versatile training tool which can definitely used to generate overall fitness.

  • what do you mean I need to provide specific factual info? YOU are the one that I ASKED for info. If you read my statement again, you will realize that I never said anything that requires anymore than what I said to be understood. Take your bullshit somewhere else, comrade.

I use dragondoor kb and I've spent no more than the money for ETK and the KB. That's hardly 300 in dvds. I got PTP as a gift and bought NW a year later for myself. still, hardly 300 dollars in dvds that you speak of.

  • nothing stated warranting further reply.

  • Please learn to type properly before posting comments on YouTube.

  • Why do u say that?

  • your comments are worthless...

  • is this a comic?

    what a character.

  • He uses this to sell his techniques.

  • yeah,I read that those kettle bells were used in a part of the Brtish army also...until the injury rate ot very high due to the nature of those exercises.

I think this guy is far overrated.people are alwayslooking for exotic things.

  • Well kettle bells have been used for a very long time with great succes. I just think that it's not something that just anyone can do under any condition. It's like with deadlifts, if your technique isn't good, DON'T DO IT. And it's prolly something you wouldn't wanna do as a starter

  • in my opinion deadlifts can damage the back even if you do the exercise correctly.same for kettlebells.me,I would not advice everyone to to them.there are safer options.I have been squatting for years ,no problem.but deadlifts.not for me

  • Please renato, don't comment on things that you have no knowledge of. If you are not a trainer, just stay away from commenting. Your claims are not supported by the scientific community. Deadlifts are great for you, but if you do them incorrectly, you are going to hurt yourself. Datsit.

  • yeah why's that many trainers have back poblems, due your 'safe' deadlift.and that is because they don't the exercise correctly?

and you're telling me to stay away from commenting?you stay away with your insane advices.I protect people from concreteheads like you

  • Your talking nonsense. If they use 'safe' technique, they won't get injured. If they use (possibly) your technique, they will get injured. It is as simple as that. You can do everyting perfectly or not perfectly. If someone is stupid enought to do deadlifts without any prior practising, that person will injure himself.

BTW Could you please site your reference as to how high was the injury rate from using kettlebells? This thing is used for the pre and rehabilitation of the shoulders and back...

  • kettlebells were used in the British army untill injury rate got too high.explosive movements with weights are putting lots of force on joints.

deadlifts is an accident waiten to happen.there is too much risk.and, a BIG and...the toplifters lift rounding their backs all the time trying to deadlift topweights.don't think correct form is an insurance against injury.they are not when deadlifting.

  • Ok, I see your point. But toplifters are simply concerned with lifting more and more. There are limitations. Nowadays, the best trainers (Cressey, Robertson, Jones, Reifkind etc) use movement sceens at the very beginning of training. They assess the clients movement patters, and based on that, they do mobility, flexibility drills to avoid the rounding of the back, thus injury.

  • This thing is very new, wasn't arount until a couple of years. So the injuries caused by deadlifts can be traced back to bad posture and movement pattern, lack of flexibility. Reifkind and Cressey both mention deadlifts as it is always blamed when injury occurs. But with correct posture, movement pattern the client could lift moderate weights, and strengthen his posterior chain. I'm not concerned with the elite, theycan do whatever they want, that is not sport :-)

  • ok.that sounds a lot better.but I still will not do the deadlift though(sorry).to each his own.maybe you're right.but I am not going to take the risk with this paricular exercise.I already have a hard time with my hipjoint when squatting.don't need another problem.

  • I wonder if that is his real voice. It sounds like a mix between Russian and English. Sounds as if he is almost making it up. I hate how he keep introducing his sentences with "Comrade".

  • You dont have to be beefed up to be strong, how many big ripped up guys can do pistols and one arm superman pressups?not many at all, pavel is a beast when it comes to flexability and strength training

  • You lack knowledge.

  • His kettlebell workout is not to make you look like you have body-building muscle. Muscle that is extraneous is just that, useless. His kettlebell training is to make the muscle you do build up incredibly strong and useful for day-to-day living. He is more flexible, mobile, and stronger than most people who just exercise at the gym and do curls all day. He doesn't change physically because of the philosophy behind kettlebells.

  • You are also worthless by going on all his videos on youtube and leaving comments. Try getting a hobby to spend your free time on.

  • my hobby is STRONGMAN

  • yeah, relax into stretch!
