  • Now that's a true Legend! Rip Sir Mel Blanc.

  • This documentary was created for the Looney Tunes Golden Collection Vol 6, which was released in 2008. I have had the great fortune to have worked for and been associated with the Blanc family for the past 40 years and was honored to have been part of this excellent acknowledgment of a truly remarkable 20th Century artist.

  • tnx for the up-load!!! i grew up with looney tunes & now that am all grown up i cant help but laugh ,no matter how many times ive watched a certain episode of this cartoon show on the tv or dvd with my niece & nephews..thank you mel!

  • R.I.P. Mel Blanc.

  • I had a 78rpm record of Big Bear Lake (Capitol label). I never knew it was a popular song at the time. On the flip side, Mel did "I'm just wild about animal crackers" in which he did the Porky Pig and Bugs voice. At the age of five, I appreciated that song better than the other. There were Looney Tunes story records which had a storybook attached where you could follow along with the record. Early form of Show and Tell. Thanks Mel for helping me to read.

  • Mel is a true legend! I was in awe of him growing up as a kid. I would be in awe seening him make personal appearences and watching him do the voices to all the cartoons I used to watch. I doubt we will ever see or hear another Mel Blanc.....

  • I'm so glad Mel Blanc was able to shape our culture the way he did. What an amazing pioneer.

  • if you have never seen a person loved by the world .....u just watched that person THE MASTER!!!!

  • What a wonderful man to GIVE so much to so many....

  • a man of a 1000 voices but the number 1 voice artist

  • NARRATED BY BRAIN!!!!!!! YESS!!!!!!

  • I love it! Jack Benny once cracked up Mel's wife, unintentionally. After the accident mentioned at the beginning, Mel was laid up for months. Benny came to visit him and innocently asked Blanc's wife "Is Mel home?"

  • Aww man this is so good. It's amazing to see his life from all of these different perspective and even the whole people who aren't even alive yet will appreciate his work. I mean he died before I was born and I look up to him. Thanks for the upload. Oh and that Porky Pig send off ending :'(

  • that was a sad picture at 1:03:20. :*(

  • There us no doubt about Mel Blanc's contribution. But in all fareness, let's not overlook Jack Mercer, who assumed the voice of POPEYE starting in 1935, and continued to be the voices of several other characters for Fleischer and Famous Studios cartoons for decades. In actuality, Mercer preceded Blanc. But being part of the east cost circle, Hollywood fails to remember him.

  • i would make a time machine just to go back through time and go get his autograph

  • The last actuations was in Roger Rabbit and in the jetsons

  • @woody1948able , true but his last original voice was Heathcliff in the early 1980's.

  • Thanks!

  • I can actually imitate a lot of the looney tunes just like mel blanc. MAY HE RIP!! (May 30, 1908 – July 10, 1989)

  • A true true legend. RIP

  • Mel was one-of-a-kind. He was kind, generous, and an amazing actor. He made my own childhood fun, and I had a rough childhood at times. Thank you for posting this video. I enjoyed every minute.

  • Where was this taken from?

  • I have never seen this before..I enjoyed it quite a bit! I have been looking for info on Mel Blancs biography but of course mostly I could only find things about him in Looney tunes on. I dont know why there isnt more out there about his life and not just his voices.
