  • i thought that in the military when u do pushups ur nose have to touch the ground

  • I think they mixed up Pte Collins with Pte White...

  • Is it better to go to university before you join the Reg. Force, or can you go to university after basic training in the Reg. Force?

  • the music kinda got annoying half way through the video but other then that it was good and thats just constructive critisism not hate :) <3

  • @canadianarmynews I am in grade twelve and I am joining the reserves but I might join reg force someday, the training is the same right, and from what I hear you get demoted a rank, correct?

  • @onthewingshot Some training is identical to the regular force. As for demotions, it will be up to Ottawa once your file is received in what they will grant you. If you wish to transfer from the Primary Reserve to the Regular Force you must apply for a Component Transfer (CT).

  • i missed my medical exam what should I do?

  • @nikonxxx Contact your local recruiting centre.

  • i feel so much like this guy, "Don't come in thinking it's going to be an easy path, an easy way out". if your content with who you are, then this is not the place for you, because you will change, i love it... like really i'm looking for change in my life, and this would be the absolute best place to start. i'm up to Assessment day for the Australian Defense Force, and i really cannot wait to go, because skills that i'll learn in the defense force, will take me through life. pride, discipline

  • When I'm older I want to go to RMC for ROTP. Is basic training the same?

  • If you go from Cadets to the army,do you get to keep your rank?

For example, If you're Sargent in cadets and then sign up as an adult in the army, are you still Sargent or do you go back to recruit/private?

  • @littlemissy100 Ummmmm.... let's see. A cadet goes once a week for about 8 months a year... for about 3 hours a night of cadets. The army, you work 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year... I'm going to safely say, No :P

My (now ex) husband has just attained Sgt. and he's in his 18th year. Not exactly the same as cadets :)

  • @littlemissy100

    hahaha i wish

  • oh and one other question do they let people with geds in the army ? . just wondering lol

  • geds???

  • I have wanted to go into the army sence i can remember i am only 15 now and people think its to early to make up my mind . after watching this it makes me thing a little bit harder . i still want to do it i just no what im getting into now . i was just wondering if you have any other tips about it ? thanks : )

  • Infantry man, Hardcore soldier

  • can i sign up as a legal resident ,

  • i think you might go get info

  • I love that... they dont have tac vests but they get A2's...

  • I thought I was the only one who noticed that, thought I was going crazy. Us reservist may only have A1s most of the time but atleast I have a tac vest, not webbing

  • @JredLapeair We have A2's over here and Tac vests as well,I thought every major reserve regiments had them?? weird...

  • HOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAH!

Great series guys. looking forward to my enlistment next year.

Pass my regards onto PO Robinson that he is a bad-ass PO! lol love that guy.

  • Is this the Reserve Force?

  • This is regular force basic training.

  • @CanadianArmyNews but don't you go through the same training in reserve's as well as full time?

  • @XxMattxX300 @ArticSheep The CF is comprised of Regular Force (full-time) members and Reservists who work on a part-time basis. Each of the military’s three elements (Army, Navy, Air Force) has a reserve of trained personnel to work with the Regular Forces when called upon. Reserve basic training varies between elements. They train hard to be able to work alongside members of the Regular Force.

  • @XxMattxX300 @ArticSheep There are several basic training options for members of the Primary Reserve. Some courses are taught at the unit in your town or city. Some courses run in the summer, others in the winter. Some are full-time others part-time. We even have a program where you can earn high school credit through Reserve Co-op. You will take high school classes for a half-day and military training the other half. Your Recruiting Centre will have the info on all of these options.

  • @CanadianArmyNews Does the reserve force go through the same training?

  • Hey,

For the intelligence test, is there a sample test you know about??

    Please let me know.

    Thanks

  • Hey,

For Intelligence test, is there a sample test you know about??

    Let me know please.

  • Talk to your local recruiting centre for more information and for sample tests.

  • are these guys going to Afghanistan now? or they have choice to stay or to fight?

  • Concerning operational deployments, the provisions of the policy on universality of service bind all members of the CF. The mission of the Department of National Defence and the CF is to defend Canada, its interests and its values, while contributing to international peace and security.
