  • pearl jam and j frank wilson 's versions are better but i like it

  • This song was on the Jukebox at the Bar and Grill my grandparents owned. I played it so much it had to be replaced. When it did finally come off the jukebox it went home with me. Unfortunately the 45 met with an untimely end at the feet of a bunch of teenage girls at a slumber party shortly after I got it.

I could never find another one and no one remembered the band...Thank you so much for posting this.

  • 2 dislikes?! How?! That is just cruel... I'm only 14, and I LOVE this song!

  • @mrdempsey1997 Who cares about them anyways?

  • Has anyone noticed that is is WAY to damn upbeat for a song about some girl getting killed :p

  • @missbitch155 That's why I prefer Pearl Jam's version. It's much more solemn, and it gets me every time.

  • wtf y ant no one lisening to this song dame kids dont know whats good

  • Very well covered. Thank you for your upload of this.

  • Why is it that some Canadian hits seem to bomb in the USA?

  • I have been trying to find this version for 30 years. Even my friend, who knows every song ever made swore that a group called "Wednesday" never sang Last Kiss. I love it. Thanks GerryS

  • thanks for posting. i had this on 45. it didn't get a lot of airplay. i am glad to re-discover it here on youtube and find out it reached number two in canada. thanks again.

  • this song was a big hit in the 70 it the only one i rember it better than pearl jam's

  • My favorite version of this song

  • When I was younger, I didn't know what this song's about, but then I started to think about the text... so sad!! wednesday is the best band for this song!!

  • Finally!! I have been looking for this song for years, this is THE best version of this song.

  • I saw this group do this song. In the 1970's. It was in Delhi, Ontario. Was anybody else there?

  • I love this song and I really love this version, but I'm sorry, that guy in the top right is kind of creepy.

  • personally i like the version by j. frank and the cavaliers better, but this is a close second

  • Crappy version, the only right one is by J. FRank Wilson and the Cavaliers. Somehow i dont believe the guys singing this song.

  • my band does this song, not too slow like PJ

  • This is a better version than the original, I agree!

  • Fantastic, remember this song from the album 'Canada Gold' ....rock on!!

  • Oshawa Canada's OWN WEDNESDAY!!!!!!!!!!! Made top-40 in the USA too. Pretty good for a bunch of local boys! :-)

  • the original is best still but this one is close, just too poppy, pearl jam sucks

  • @johnnyupchuck which one do you consider the "original"? wayne cochran was the original, even though most people think j.frank's version was.

  • @ernestryles wayne cochran

  • Hello, I am searching from long time for their song called: You're the sea I'm the ship

    do u have it plz???

  • no frank wilson was but it sucked wednesday done it it was great by them then pearle jam did it witch in my opion sucked

  • wasn't this the band who first made the song?

  • Good remake. God bless!

  • This song only reached #34??? this is at least a top 10 hit!!!!

  • It reached #2 in Canada.

  • @milkypirate99

That's because we have snow and we lose it on the corners..lol

  • @milkypirate99 #1 actually

  • @milkypirate99 #1 actually. For six weeks in 1973

  • lol...the guy with the porn mustache upper middle seems to be either trying to keep his distance from the creepy bald guy...or...is a little to happy to see the other guy..good song though. :D

  • not funny

  • i have the lp on sussex records.these guys are great. one of my all time fav songs ever. wayne told me he loved this version

  • This is the first version I ever heard, but I also like the original version from the 50s as well. Sad song, either way.

  • This is the best version. Pearl Jam's version sounds like Eddie is singing under water. I Don't really like the vocals by Pearl Jam.

  • I agree this version and the Pearl Jam version are equally the best ones. I prefer these two versions to both the original and the J. Frank Wilson versions.

  • @rhomu Pretty sure the original is the J. Frank Wilson version. Unless im missing something. But I agree and personally I think the Pearl Jam version is the best. It shows more emotion and being the slower tempo than this one and the original it makes it better sounding.

  • This is the only version of Last Kiss that I can remember from my childhood. This goes back to the early 70's...Now, I know there's many versions of this tune but, there's none better than Wednesday's version...

  • Nobody does this one better.

  • I agree, It's a shame that this version isn't widely known.

  • @milkypirate99 Well, I got to hear this in South Africa some years ago. Glad to find it again; a beautiful song.

  • This was the fisrt time I heard this version and I love it!
