  • Evil!!!!! I hate you and I don't even know you!

  • We have our first two turkeys fattened up and are planning to kill for Christmas however I was wondering do we need to let the bird hang for a few days after killing it.

  • Lady GaGa?

  • Thanks for making this video, it was helpful. With chickens we do a cone type thing (in a milk jug), and I was planning to do something similar with Turkey, but all of the videos showed people chopping the heads off, which just doesn't seem as humane. So, I'm glad we can use the same process for Turkey; I wonder how I can improvise a cone...? Also, I'm pretty sure I don't have a pot big enough to scald mine all at once either. Not sure how to approach that one.

  • why didn't you put his head through and off with his head with the meat cleaver?

    or did you do that?

  • when you put him in the cone, was the neck and head hanging out the bottom of it or did you cut the neck somehow and then dump him in there?

  • People just love a fat turkey.

  • we ate him today and he was delicious!

  • Great Job!

I'm going to build a larger scolder next year. I found one that is build from an old propane water heater that should fit the bill. I build one of the Whiz Bang Plucker and it works great.

    How are the worms?

We are planning a field trip over to Milwaukee to tour some Aquaponics sites so I can save myself some headaches when we put ours together this spring.

    Again thanks for the vid.

    Tom
