i think wang liqin give wang hao a way. I watch all their match recently. When comes to final game set seemed like Wang liqin not really fighting unless when he left point at back from wang hao. Wang liqin has won and be a no 1 so many years and he a legend and now over 30 years old. Maybe he gives 1 or 2 year to wang hao to be a no 1 before he gets it back. China strategy perhaps.
when chinese players play each other it's best out of 5 not 7. that's y they dont try on the last game. and liqin in not gving these matching to wang hao either, because if the coahcs find out he's in bad form they might replace him on the nation team.
dont u call it reverse backhand when u use the forehand side for a backhand? like ma lin does when he actially is blocking?? because then u must say that wang hao does not have a reverse backhand style.
from my understanding that is the "normal" way of hitting backhand for penhold style. that is why you see some penhold rackets with only one side rubber. so reverse would be using the backside of the paddle.
Wang Hao is actually challenging Wang Liqin in diagonal backhand-duels....and wins!!! How is that possible? No one beat Wang Liqin in backhand-duels, and remember, hehe....Wang Hao is a penholder, with reverse backhand.

I meant it was rare for Wang Hao. He uses RPB exclusively for backhand.

Oh yes, it is possible to lob with the reverse one, and I play pen hold!
Just not as comfortable and it is just easier to lob with normal penhold than RPB

he and Ma Lin have almost perfected the Penholder-Backhand. Both can use their backhand very well.
