Yeah it seems to work if i set it as default input and output. I just had to make an aggregate device then it finds it in the DSP settings. All working. Nice!!!
Ahh, now i get it. Brilliant. Just in time for for a Sonic Art performance I have this weekend. With max I can now warp the minds of many individuals. Sir I am indebted to you. It its always nice being on the journey to freeing America from those damn Eskimos too. England thanks you!
Now, do you have any experience with USB mics and max? I bought a samson USB mic for field recordings. Not a bad mic, but max seems to hate it, to ignore it. Or it may just be that Lion hates it.
@pspnob USB microphones, eh? Well, no, I wouldn't know anything about it. Are you able to record with it outside of Max? Did you remember to select it as an input source in DSP settings? One thing you could try is making it the default sound input source across your whole machine and then opening Max. You could also try taping a pancake to your computer. It probably wouldn't help but it would be pretty funny, I think.
