  • anyone out there have any manuals for a 266c,manlly interested in hydraulic information, all the valve seals at the back of the controls leak, and there is valve in front of the turret drive that leaks quite bad

  • anyone else notice the track marks in front of it and the matted down grass

  • @yeaiblewitup yeah I alraedy had it running but it started just like it did in the video. next time I go to it I will be sure to have tha camera ready!

  • e-mail me your number and i will give you a call i need windows and a door may be interested in the whole machine my e mail is rincon4mud@aol.com name is mike

  • @farmermike240 windows? I'm not sure if I cold get the glass out without breaking it? I just had every widow in my Cat 225 replaced. They supplied tinted laminated safety glass with all new gaskets for $735.00 and thet came to me.I wouldnt mess with trying to remove and reinstall glass? I know wher another is that I know I can get parts off. I will look at the door next time I'm over there.

  • if you happen to wanna scrap that machine i would like to buy some parts off of it. im in nj

  • @farmermike240 what parts are you looking for??

  • Man does this bring back memories, I learned on a '78 166 back in the early '90's my old boss owned one the he bought brand new. I sure love that detroit sound! Great video!

  • Amazing it started!

  • love it!

  • the tracks look pretty decent, wonder if they would fit my old hitachi?

  • Great vid Charlie!! Awesome old machine...well it was. Love hearing that 4-53 com to life!! Gotta love those 2-stroke Detroit Diesels, you could fill the cylinders with cement and it would still run!! I may exaggerate a bit.

  • I have always said Detroit Des'l sound like they are slinging robs and spinning bearing. A guy close to use has one and you know everyplace on his property he's working.

  • Its always good to keep that old stuff around so you can remember where ya came form. To much of this old stuff is heading off on the china express.

  • That thing had seen better days.

  • Wow, cool that it started.

  • I'll give ya a shiny new nickel for it.

  • I'm pretty sure you could get the blast from the past back running!

  • @letsdig18 something about swing gears in dillon, just don't work out for some reason?

  • @BradyHill1 them Dillon boys must be rough on shit LOL

  • @letsdig18 don't you know how to fig up stunps? Get a bucket of dirt put it beside the stump, swing all the way around at full power and hit it wide open.....haha

  • @BradyHill1 could you imagine that damage that would do? I hit one swining oneday with a empty bucket, thought I damn near broke the boom it wiggled so bad. worst part was it spilt my drink :(

  • @letsdig18 a county operator actually did that with darlington county's 270 hitachi, it threw the swing motor and gearbox out of the machine
