Blaze's story in Sonic 06 makes plenty of sense. Blaze is trapped with Iblis in an alternate dimension, time reverses with Blaze still in the alternate dimension. Meaning Blaze ends up in an alternate dimension in Sonic's timeline. And that explains why Blaze is from an alternate dimension in Sonic Rush but not Sonic 06.

@LordNavarre13 The funny thing is that Sonic is a poor choice for a fighting game character, however, Shadow, Silver, Knuckles, Blaze, Amy and heck, even Tails works well.

@TehComentar I dunno. In Sonic Battle, he was one of the more balanced characters. Definitely better than Rouge, Gamma, and Chaos in that game too but not as broken as Cream, Shadow, or Emerl. His heal does need some improvement though. Still, have you ever been kicked at the speed of sound?  There's bound to be some broken bones from the impact.

@TehComentar It's a lot of fun, Sonic Battle. Some of the fights are a pain though. I find that Rouge's, Knuckles', and Tails' (for beginners) stories are the hardest though. Cream's is tough, but that's because by that point Emerl should have a lot of good skills learned. Definitely recommend it.

As for Brawl, if Sonic had better moves like Ancient Light or more moves from Sonic Battle like his axle kick, he'd be a much bigger threat (as if he isn't with Super Sonic already).

Sonic sucks in brawl because he can easily get your damage up, but because of Brawl's retarded Stale Move reduction, he literally has no way of killing you.

Next time you use sonic, notice this. Get the guy really high with his spinning moves on a 1v1. Then try to KO them while they're at like 200% Good Luck.

Then, get KOd', and come back. Hit them with a move. I bet you $10 they'll die.

Stale Move Reduction is why Brawl sucks.

@Metaurus99 No, I mean, in the main Sonic series, on the home consoles, this game isn't "canon" to the storyline. Sonic 06, which is part of the main storyline, had her be from the future instead of an alternate dimension. And I like the whole "alternate dimension" story better, which is why I wish it were that way on the consoles.

Really. Sonic Rush is probably one of the best new Sonic Games. It goes back to Sonic's 2D roots, and, despite the extremely cheesy moral of the game (you've gotta learn to trust and make friends!), it has a pretty good storyline as well. Also, like I said before, you can't deny that Blaze is a good character. :)

Gotta agree with ya on all but one point, as far as I know Nintendo hasn't stated wether Blaze is from an alternate dimension or the future.

Although if they were to choose I think they'd go for the alternate dimension,

future Blaze mostly appeared in bad games, and alternate Blaze in good ones.

@PiplupPeanut She was originally from the future, but during the events of Sonic 2006 she got sent to another dimension to seal away Iblis. The events from that time line were erased by the end of the game, but it's perfectly reasonable to infer that a completely separate dimension wouldn't be affected by time travel in the original dimension. I mean, after all, if Blaze's dimension didn't transcend Sonic's', then Sonic Rush wouldn't have existed. :D

She's easily my favorite new character added to the franchise since SA2. Also, I personally think that Sonic Unleashed (360), Sonic Rush Adventure, and Sonic Riders: ZG are the only above-average games that Sonic has starred in since sonic Heroes. I grew up with the franchise, too. Best gaming franchise.

While both games had awesome music, each had its own flavor. While Sonic music tends to be more playful, TWEWY had a more dramatic soundtrack that had a bit more depth to the various beats than Sonic's stylish music. I'd say, since they're a tad different, they're equally as good.
