What fungus did you have and were you treatin it with chemicals when it went? I was a watchful fan of your progress and we have 10000 sq ft of bentgrass in MN and I don't want it to die.
Yeah its not disease, the purple and blue color to the grass is the reason why. like jcdixon said punch holes so the water can get into the soil and not run off or sit on top of the soil. Esp if u fert 3 weeks earlier it needs the water. Diseases you can tell what they look like they are more spottie like dollar spot or brown patch. But dont over water or it can wilt and look the same way. cut out a hole and see if the water gets down in the soil.
Thanks for the video...please keep us posted. I will be posting a video shortly - as I have just recently installed a green in the backyard as well. Just now getting ready to seed in Indiana. First video won't be much...just a description of what we did and didn't do. Thanks again, and please keep us posted.
Looks like wilt. During the hot temps I would water everyother night for 30 to 40 minutes. Once the condition improves, you can reduce the water. Grayish color and seeing your footprints in the turf is a symptom of wilt. Looks like you are in a desert/dry condition, correct? I bet if you soaked these areas with a hose daily they would respond. I work as an assistant golf course superintendent, and fight turf disease daily.
hi i would try to put on some manicure fungicide and then punch some holes in there to get some water to the roots ..good luck fella post another video so we can see if its calming down or not please..thanks man
Actually it looks like hydrophobic soil condition. Not accepting H2O, wilting and dying, thats why you water but it doesnt get to root zone. Try punching holes so water can get down and syringe in pm (it appears aftrn temps are getting high where you are). Didn't see any dollar spot so hold off on spraying until someone positively identifies a disease for you in person. H2O these spots by hand every morning after punching holes. Good Luck brah. May concider a wetting agent to help perk.
The first thing you need to do is CUT BACK ON THE WATERING!! Wet conditions only favor the disease. Its really hard to tell you exactly what disease it is without seeing it for myself, but Im thinking possibly dollar spot. You should be able to slow it down by keeping the green on the dryer side. best thing you can do is to get a pesticides liscenes which isnt that hard to pass the test. then get some fungicide which is pretty expensive. Good luck
