Front wheel drive class. Once they hit that deep gravel with the wheel turned, there was little they could do. Instant massive understeer. The course notes must have not mentioned that condition on the track.

It's clear that this is an amateur rally. Mostly it's drivers fault - they were clearly driving too fast - rookie miskate. Also, most cars were poorly prepared as we can see that almost all of them understeered.

Most of those drivers turned full lock while sliding + locking brakes, that would made probably even well set up car to understeer. It's drivers work to adjust to track condition and steer only as much as tires will hold (actually at slippy surfaces sometimes it's better to steer slightly beyond the limit, it also depends if you have FWD, RWD or 4x4)

So I'm not amazed by the driver's skill, but there's also question why the track got soooo slippy. Rain? Oil? Fans helping it to see more action?

This clip is from finnish F-cup rallyseries, where there are no pace notes and studying the stages beforehand is not allowed.

In the F-cup series really bad corners, tight curves, junctions etc. are marked with a caution sign. In this case for some reason the organizers didn't mark this corner. You can see that there are no trees behind the corner and it seems that the road goes straight. That would explain the high entry speed.
