WOW! what a song, so sad but hauntingly beautiful, this young woman is so amazing, she just pulls you in to the song and you can feel the emotion. That is what real music all about.

So, maybe that's what she's referring to in Farmer's Daughter, when she talks about the broken bones. Those memories will never leave her. The Blues comes from pain, but, obviously, Crystal would have preferred having a healthy relationship with her mother, than her mother's actions providing Crystal with so much material for her songs. Sad.
She is amazing... American Idol gave her the avenue to show us who she is.. she didn't need to win.. she will go much further not being tied to their contract. She is amazing, beautiful, pure soulful voice... Love her!

This may have been a performance from age 16, but she wrote it 3 years earlier, which is even more amazing..
