I agree with your statement on media bias; newspapers sell newspapers, not news. However, I disagree that things can generally be called "better". People are still dying, people are still being murdered and tortured, just not over disagreement with the Hussein dictatorship.
Then again, we're both speculating and not citing our sources. It'd probably serve our interests if we both did some studying.

We have a saying in Iraq for Saddamist and Baathist(Baath Party) that they say it is like a football match either we play or we destroy the playing ground.

man nobody destroy lebanon why do u have this idea about syria? syria is seculare state and it was against saddam (the one who oppressed u) during his rule from start to end, they had oppositions against each others, and for accusing syria of allowing insurgents crossing to iraq: they cant handle that, they dont issue visas to arabs so every arab can pack his baggage and be in syria so easy and they have this rule long time ago.. so they hardly control the borders

You know Syria is a police state so secritive it is even worse than North Korea. Syrian themself confessed that they captured 1300 Arab whom they tryied to cross the boarder to Iraq, so can anybody tell me how many ten of thousand managed to cross?

The Syrian argue that even the United States can not control its boarder with Mexico so how Syria can control it, I think this is stupid argument, all terrorist suiciders are passing through Damascus Airport and then everybody shall be watched around the clock, so how it comes they travel and cross the boarder. for 40 years not even single fly managed to cross to Jollan height.

they can't watch over million arabs coming for tourism during summer especially the ones from suadia arabia, as i said there is no visa control and the border with iraq is kind of a desert..very easy to cross, moreover bash is containing all iraqi refugees who ran away from iraq fearing the killing... the CIA chief is discussing possibility of putting a new dictator in iraq to hold the country together

The Syrian openly talking that Iraqi have the right to resist the occupier, the presence of the US and other allied forces in Iraq is nothing to do with occupation. Occupation ended by UN resolution which the elected government of Iraq requested to stay to help fight terrorist and Saddamist. Syria and Iran and all Arab countries accepted the UN resolutions, so why the heck they helping terrorist to fight the US and Iraqi army?. When Iraqi government request the US army to leave they will leave.
