just did a search on the bredli python, they do look similar but carpets tend to be a little darker in general. the bredli seems to be a little more redish than the carpet. One thing is for sure, when it comes to food, he devours those rats as if it's the best tasting thing in the world.
this looks to me like a bredli python, as I also have one. they top out around 8 feet give or take a foot. theyre pretty docile but voracious eaters.. they spend as much time in tree branches as they do on the ground.
Yes they can be very quick when they want to! How many pythons have you got? unfortunately i'll be working overseas for a couple of years and have to make a big decision as to what i'm going to do with him :( thank you for ur comments.
Guess I won't be tellin the wife dat! he is a great lookin python, thanks. He handles extremely well too. before shedding, after eating, no problems picking him up.
i dont think it is 16ft. it is extreamly rare for any carpet python(coastals included) to reach a maximum of 10ft. 16 just sounds way too big. Although the max for a retic python is said to be about 33ft. there is 1 in indonesia that is 49ft. so it might be true

17ft is the record from like 1979. But that's very uncommon. 3 - 4 metres is the upper limit.
