@awdrifter3 the phone isn't as bad as you make it out to be. This has been a really good phone for a non smart phone. You do have to press down more than you would an iPhone but it's not really hard. I could easily scroll thru music and texts etc. this isn't a great phone but it's decent.
This review is so inaccurate. The screen on this phone sucks, you have to press very hard for it to recognize the input, making scrolling through songs a pain because it'll accidentally play a song instead of keep scrolling. The video player also sucks, it can only play 320x240 videos, notice how in the demo video he played the image is squished, you can make it full screen, but because the resolution of the video is so low it's jagged. I'm replacing this phone and giving it to my daughter. The touchscreen texting is what's done it in for me. While typing it will lag and any letters you push after it stops responding will pop up on the screen when it finally catches up. Also, the when the screen locks the pictures rotate through the ones pre-loaded. See the butterfly pic in the video? It'll be there when you go to use it along with a rainbow swirl, fireworks, flowers, and a few others. It can't be changed.
@Basisirj22 - so the Mythic, the Solstice II, and the Flight II are all garbage? I have tried them all out and I found them to be awesome phones. I did have a Mythic a couple months ago, but the screen decided to somehow lose water, so the colors kept jumping around. But if you want to pay out the ass for a Samsung Captivate, go ahead!

What is a good touch screen phone with a 3mp camera or higher, accepts Micro SD cards for music and maybe movies, and doesn't need a $15 data plan? I was going for the Mythic or the Aria until I found out the aria needs data to run.
@heydudeizesther i have neither and after watching a review on each of them, i can easily say i would have to go with the mythic. looks so much better. and i heard you cant even change the message tone on the sunburst, unless you go to each contact individually and give them the same ringtone you want, which would be a total pain.
I've always like samsungs layout for their phones I'm upgrading from the Behold 1 switch I still love because it's smaller then most of the new phones (unlike the Behold 2) but this one looks like a good upgrade almost the same phone just alittle taller for the better screen and more options.

@motosportjunkie Do NOT get this phone. I have it, I cannot stand how slow and laggy it is. also the fact that you can't change the Locked mode picture is also very annoying! There is another phone made by samsung that looks very similar to the mythic and it's newer. It also has a slide out keyboard and is not nearly as laggy. That would be my best suggestion if you want a phone like the mythic.

Yes, the mythic. There's a lot of things that frustrate me to no end. Its ironic that this is a newer version of the Samsung Eternity, while some aspects of the eternity is actually better than the mythic, and its hardly an upgrade in technology, if at all.

i have this phone worked good for the first couple weeks then its started freezing and calibration started to go retarded , dont get touch screens period they bug a lot i say stick with a good ol' non touch phone.

@heydudeizesther i have neither and after watching a review on each of them, i can easily say i would have to go with the mythic. looks so much better. and i heard you cant even change the message tone on the sunburst, unless you go to each contact individually and give them the same ringtone you want, which would be a total pain.

I've always like samsungs layout for their phones I'm upgrading from the Behold 1 switch I still love because it's smaller then most of the new phones (unlike the Behold 2) but this one looks like a good upgrade almost the same phone just alittle taller for the better screen and more options.

i have this phone and i hate it more than any other phone ive ever used!!!! the screen lags alot which makes it so annoying when you text. there is almost nothing i like about this phone! i hate it so much i switched back to a phone that is so old its got the cingular logo on it. and i like it way more then this one. DONT GET IT

@motosportjunkie Do NOT get this phone. I have it, I cannot stand how slow and laggy it is. also the fact that you can't change the Locked mode picture is also very annoying! There is another phone made by samsung that looks very similar to the mythic and it's newer. It also has a slide out keyboard and is not nearly as laggy. That would be my best suggestion if you want a phone like the mythic.

i've seen the three words "this phone sucks" on every video from PhoneArena from different users.... maybe you guys just got a bad model? take it back to the AT&T store, and they will check it out for you. don't just bitch about it being a bad phone, and continue to use it. AT&T will help you out! hell, they will give you a new one (of the same model) until you're satisfied!! if you bitch about your phone not working, then do something about it. don't keep using it.

Yes, the mythic. There's a lot of things that frustrate me to no end. Its ironic that this is a newer version of the Samsung Eternity, while some aspects of the eternity is actually better than the mythic, and its hardly an upgrade in technology, if at all.

Stop being so concerned about securing masculinity. There is nothing about butterflies that attribute them to one sex or the other. And you freaking out about people calling you gay is only going to make them more inclined to continue calling you gay. Also, since when did being gay gain a negative connotation to it? Back in the times of the ancient Romans, it was normal for people to be bisexual. Men used other men for a sexual release and women for reproduction purposes.
