The LD series uses AA batteries, the PD uses CR123. The CR123:s are more expencive and not as easy to find but they are more powerful. The LD20 uses two AA batteries so its about twice as long as the PD20.
it can be used with any rechargeable CR123a with 3.0v. Chinese ones OK. I used chinese recharged 3.0v in my night patrols often. Works well and run time is close to disposable panasonic cr123a.
Point the flashlight into something, not just the ground.
