However, once you attack a police officer they have the right to fight back, and most of the time they are armed which could lead to a very bad situation. The better solution would be to reform the courts so that citizens are protected from police brutality and corruption.

I think the best way to make sure a cop isn't overstepping their boundaries is to KNOW YOUR RIGHTS, be ready to assert them, and to make sure each police encounter is either audio or video recorded. If they know they are being watched they are less likely to act out of line. If you are able to bring your own evidence of misconduct into court it will be hard for the judge to rule in favor of the cop.

Girl deserved getting punched. The cop was outnumbered, and was shoved. They were resisting arresting. I don't understand why they were fighting back, did they think they could scare the cop off? To me they just wanted to show how tough they were instead of trying to handle the situation. Heck even running away would have been better than resisting the cop. She ended up getting punched, and the other choked holded, and they deserved it.

However, once you attack a police officer they have the right to fight back, and most of the time they are armed which could lead to a very bad situation. The better solution would be to reform the courts so that citizens are protected from police brutality and corruption.

I think the best way to make sure a cop isn't overstepping their boundaries is to KNOW YOUR RIGHTS, be ready to assert them, and to make sure each police encounter is either audio or video recorded. If they know they are being watched they are less likely to act out of line. If you are able to bring your own evidence of misconduct into court it will be hard for the judge to rule in favor of the cop.

Girl deserved getting punched. The cop was outnumbered, and was shoved. They were resisting arresting. I don't understand why they were fighting back, did they think they could scare the cop off? To me they just wanted to show how tough they were instead of trying to handle the situation. Heck even running away would have been better than resisting the cop. She ended up getting punched, and the other choked holded, and they deserved it.

Did she refuse to identify herself, did she lie about her name, did she have a warrant, was she in possession of something illegal, did she try to flee?
