No seriously, his wall rides are crazy, its like he's fucking glued to the wall.

Thank you Steve, for the great justice you served The skaters of New York, New York itself, and all the skaters of the world. You're living proof that a sharp mind with strong determination behind it for a good cause will always prevail

  • thanks steve! i met him back in 09 up in the bronx. awesome guy

  • its fenced off now until 2014 but may not even be skatable after the renovations.

  • i am going there tomoro

  • im not from New York and have only visited the banks once; however, they have influenced my skating style in a profound way. i began watching people session the banks when i was 16 and fell in love with the character of the old world architecture. the idea of skateboarding on them embodies old meets new, and captures the essence of what an old city--much like nyc--should be to its inhabitants: a fun place to enjoy and experience an adventerous lifestyle

  • steve rodriguez is what a skater is. he embodies that persona exactly. coolest dude in NYC. thanks steve!

  • yo man y is it only like the 12 year old skaters who are cocky bitches. like i met so many "im a hardcore skater" type people i began to think all wood pushers were that way. than i moved to filly and was bmxing a local set when i met like 6 really chill skaters. hell, now im skating along wit bmx

  • Thought you guys like this project I'm working coming out called "Deathbowl to Downtown". It chronicles the evolution of street skateboarding from a NYC perspective.

Beastie Boys, Minor Threat and Bad Brains all contributed tracks. There are some pretty cool scenes with Lance Mountain, Mike Vallely, Keith Hufnagel, the Gonz and early Shut Skateboards imagery featured. There are interviews architects&urban planners on how spots like the Brooklyn Banks actually came to be.
