If your from England and you go to NY to skate take some Galaxy chocolate or orange and lime tic tacs and give them to steve. He's a monster for this stuff.. If your lucky he might even give you some stickers.... Top bloke steve..P.S and it was Steve who named me claynutz cause he kept forgetting my name.... LOL
Fun fact: Steve Rodriguez actually came out of the womb wall riding parts of the banks.
No seriously, his wall rides are crazy, its like he's fucking glued to the wall.
Thank you Steve, for the great justice you served The skaters of New York, New York itself, and all the skaters of the world. You're living proof that a sharp mind with strong determination behind it for a good cause will always prevail
I just watched the Indian in the cupboard and the little kid asked his older brother to take him out to skate. didnt expect him to bring him to the banks. the older brother was just doing ollies though.
CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT THERE IS AT THE BANKS, I KNOW THERE IS THE BANKS AND THE NINE STAIR, IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE?oh, just realized i was rwriting in caps
If any one needs some someone with talent and skills in their skate team hit me up. i been in a few but turns out im always the best skater on the team.....

dude i havent been able to find any place in atl that has 5boro decks...those are the only decks i skated when i lived in nyc and philly and now im stuck skating other brands....does any one kno of like a web site i can order them from
im not from New York and have only visited the banks once; however, they have influenced my skating style in a profound way. i began watching people session the banks when i was 16 and fell in love with the character of the old world architecture. the idea of skateboarding on them embodies old meets new, and captures the essence of what an old city--much like nyc--should be to its inhabitants: a fun place to enjoy and experience an adventerous lifestyle
yo man y is it only like the 12 year old skaters who are cocky bitches. like i met so many "im a hardcore skater" type people i began to think all wood pushers were that way. than i moved to filly and was bmxing a local set when i met like 6 really chill skaters. hell, now im skating along wit bmx
We need more urban spaces for athletes. I like the idea of taking back the streets for inner-city youth to play. Hey, check it out— we have lots of skating for change posts at YouthNoise Play City.
Thought you guys like this project I'm working coming out called "Deathbowl to Downtown". It chronicles the evolution of street skateboarding from a NYC perspective.
Beastie Boys, Minor Threat and Bad Brains all contributed tracks. There are some pretty cool scenes with Lance Mountain, Mike Vallely, Keith Hufnagel, the Gonz and early Shut Skateboards imagery featured. There are interviews architects&urban planners on how spots like the Brooklyn Banks actually came to be.
i think that banks r great so shut up even tho its not my level yet i mean all i do there is skate the rail n the grind ledges but on the banks i cn only do fs 180 n nolliefullcabs but i no that this spot is great but u simply need really hellatof skillls
