@Naelaeu well I had two reasons why i hate it. one was that I couldn't find any setups for it but I just put my own foot in my mouth by watching a combo vid with the setups, so I guess now the only reason I don't like it cause I kinda wanted them to put more thought into it ya know. I wanted more of a third strike feel to it. To me it just looks like they rushed through the ultras. its pretty much a fierce hurricane kick with a fancy kick at the end. I'm not pissed about it, just disappointed.

When it comes to looks, I think ultra2 is awesome ( it's obviously my personal taste, but I will try to support it).

Shippuu Jinrai was pretty cool, but somewhat underwheelming. Four kicks (which 1+4 and 2+3 were the same) finished by a plain 5 hit tornado (nothing more then a regular special going up). It looked like a watered down version of Akuma's Messatsu Gourasen (which imo looked amazing).

I think Ken's ultra2 has everything it needs. It's consistently built on a single idea of tornado kick (while many other ultras contain series of random/unrelated kicks/punches), it shows enough variety (introduction kick - main reversed tornado part - big finishing kick (also based on tatsu)), and it looks pretty artistic overall.

I don't know, I guess im REALLY used to U1 already and have a nice selection of setups for it.( none of which I've yet to see on youtube) lol.

What's really nice is that Ken's both ultras are useful and balanced (unlike Balrog's or Ryu's, where nobody really uses their U2!). Shinryuken is better for anti-air purposes, has a straight forward and high-priority set up (+ itself has better priority) and punishes certain moves better (like blanka's ball, bison's psycho crusher etc.). It might be better for some players overall (I guess it depends mostly on someone's playstyle)
