Such as? Did you know that John Wilkes Booth was at the last speech Lincoln gave, and there he decided to kill him instead of kidnap him once Lincoln said his next order of business after his 10% Reconstruction Plan was to get the former slaves the vote?

Or maybe that he chose Frederick Douglass as one of his advisors. One night when a dinner was being held at the White House, Douglass was invited by Lincoln, but the guards refused him entry for being black. Lincoln saw this, and from across the room shouted, "There's my friend, Douglass. Let him in." with an emphasis on the 'friend'?
