  • oh I read a bit further... sorry

  • Is that a charger? or a challenger?

  • @Biggertonka - Aussie Charger, man (CL model). We didn't have Challengers out here.

  • yeah it's probably a straight six....back in the day the aussies had a hemi headed six that had gobs of torque and a good that could cream many an 8 cylinder. E49 had 302HP with 320 lb-ft of torque @ 400rpm...if ya doubt it google it

  • what's the make and model of this car?

  • @tmaiaTDU Its an australian built chrysler cl charger

  • MY CARS BIGGER THEN YOURS

  • Did anybody ever tell you ford means FUCKER ONLY ROLLS DOWNHILL

  • @MegaTraxxasman Did anyone ever tell you that "A truck will run if you keep it maintnenanced whether it be a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge"? Or, "Treat the truck right and it will treat you right"?

  • monaro??

  • @chopablopisdabomb cl valiant charger

  • @RandomBoi1991

Under-powered? Would love to have what you are smoking mate

  • Yeah that's no 6...That is a V8... probably a 440

  • @chevyslayer1 i think it was only sold in aus my girlfriends charger has a 4.2 hemi 6 engine makes just over 200hp at the wheels not bad for an atmo carbie motor

  • LAME

  • as soon as i saw the title, i just figured the vehicle would be running.

  • whats wrong with liking dodge

  • @chevyslayer1 ya 265 hemi 6

  • @leschampagnes1 How many types of hemis´ are they? any 4 cylinders?

  • @TheRealFobican toyota made a 1.8 3tc hemi 4 banger

  • is this the cop car at our shreveport nosc?????

  • Dumb question...Waht kinda car is it (Besides ford)

  • No inline 6 has that distinctive V8 sound even the excellent Hemi 6. Check out some videos that Aussie Mopar guys have posted on youtube you will hear the sound of the Hemi 6.

  • That is one bad ass cop

  • i can do a burn out in a lil toyota by holding the break!!! weak car light it up with out your break

  • Haha, State Trooper is GETTIN IT!!!

  • Guess who needs new tires??

  • N.S.W Highway patrol used these and Falcon XC Coupes in 1978. They gave the Charger the flick only because they could get the Falcons for $500 less with an imported clevo.

  • Now thats super cool, thats how cops should be lol.

  • Ahh back in the day when cops were cool!

  • @wheyez and nowadays they´re....?

  • Hey Charger!

  • Best. Cop. Ever.

  • Anyone thinking Mad Max??

  • I AM!!! :D

  • @SynthGirl1977 actually yes lol

  • well im a valiant man and i say its a 318 fireball plus the number plate is (HWY 318) so theres your answer ppl

  • Yep 318, seen this thing at fairfield showground all chrysler show. How cool to be a cop driving somthing like that around back in the days

  • @zoran435 buddy its a small block v8

  • Hey Charger!

  • That's no 6 cyl. engine It has the distinct sound of a Mopar V8.

  • @4thstooge cops do get some sweet shit in there cars

  • @4thstooge I thought the CM police Highway patrol were 265 w/ the tripple webber and 4 on the floor. I could be wrong though

  • @4thstooge it aint no mopar its a true original hemi 360

  • @xX3movamp1reXx Hemi 360??? The 360's are a wedge...... same as the 318 wedge motor in this car.

  • @4thstooge could be the 265 hemi 6 cylinder mopars used in aussie land

  • @leschampagnes1 Its not, read the plate, "HWY 318".... Its a genuine 318 V8 Cop charger.

  • @MalliganTheUFO ahh didn't look that closely...pretty beastly burnout for a 318

  • @4thstooge you might want to get your ears checked, thats not a V8 its a hemi 6

  • i think some those aussie slant 6s could belt out 300hp

  • @talleyho12 The Australian Chrysler slant 6 is very similar to its American cousin. In the R-Series, S-Series, AP5, VC and VG models, most had 160hp out stock. Not bad for a single throat carburettor, and a somewhat constricted exhaust system. The later models moved to Hemi 6 cylinders. It surprised me when I saw an engine so similar in a 1995 model Jeep Cherokee that was Australian complianced. They look just like the hemi 6 in the 70s Valiants, save for black paint, no side plates and EFI.

  • @Mechknight73 The Jeep 4.0 inline 6 traces it's lineage back to AMC (American Motors) It was a great inline 6 that came out in the mid '60's in AMC "Rambler" cars. It was as rugged as the Mopar "slant 6" w/ 7 main bearings it had a bullet proof bottom end. When Chrysler bought AMC (Jeep) from Renault that engine was modernized w/ EFI and labeled High Output 4.0.

  • @4thstooge This is true. Chrysler Australia used it from about 1968/9 to 1980, when they went belly up in Australia. When I first saw the early 90s Cherokee ( they disappeared from Australia from about 1982-1990) it usrprised me just how retro designed they were. Leaf spring rear ends, antique ignition barrel setup, and 80s interior. Craziest of all, the Chrysler stud pattern on the wheels is an exact match to the Cherokee/Wrangler. Discovered this by seeing a '64 VC Valiant with Jeep steel rims

  • sounds like a small block v8 with some add ons

  • its an aussie charger, not american, and it probably has a 245 of 265 hemi six or maybe a 318 v8

  • no my dads is a 318 V8 those are american that car is foriegn

  • wow there goes those tires

  • sounds of a small block ... kinda looks like a dodge or plymoth you can deff hear the secondarys... maybe a 318 or 340 or 360

  • they were actually branded Valiant Chargers out here in Australia, my dad drove 1 in the highway patrol back in the early 70's

  • It's an Australian made Chrysler Valiant Charger. Looks like a late model, either a CL or CM which puts its year at around 1978.

The engine is most likely a 318. The 340, to my knowledge, was only available in the ill-fated E55 Charger & 360's were usually only found in the bigger luxury models.

Most of our police maintain some old patrol cars for historical & PR reasons.

There's an XB Falcon GT sedan patrol vehicle in Victoria. They take it to the drags.

  • no mine is a 318 and thats the one that was a boat its the 68 charger 318 V8 that is most likely the 340............

  • hey charger!

  • holy shit. fuck german im switching to american muscle

  • i figured that out about a year ago lol plus american muscle can be under 5,000 dollars

  • but still i dont like the turning ratio on american cars.

  • i still dont like the under powered 4 and 6 cyl. engines of any other cars. fuck you.

  • amen my friend

  • How many horses is your car kicken out, pretty smoken dude......

  • MOPAR 340 in a lil Aussie Charger! kick ass!

  • alot of people are gonna claim that the engine in this particular car is a 318FB...its not...its a 340 Magnum..they were imported for chrysler pursuit cars in the early 70's mostly because they were build specifically for daytona style racing in the states...all police chryslers in that era were outfitted with the 340 because they were simply badass..but the breaks sucked...factory off the shelf breaks let chrysler down big time..shame really..

  • woopdee fucking doo....

  • Aye.

  • That was wicked !!!!

  • but i guess you would know because you would be the one bent over ready for it huh thats where you park your cars right , in your ass, no wonder they are pieces of shit, lol.

  • MFP pursuit anyone?

  • Starski And CLUTCH.

  • looks like a chrysler valiant

  • HEY CHARGER is this who you get smoked pork hahahaha

  • AN old Valiant (Chysler) Charger

  • then obviously u wouldnt know a holden if it bit u in the ass

  • lol wtf is wrong with you, wheres your glasses mate?

  • Most any car can do that when you break torque it.
