yeah hes proboly sellin it cuz the 310 tune was startin to tear up his tranny... lets see... ford doesnt make a standard in 2010 and neither does chevy... ohh wait that means hes gettin a cummins! way to go :)
@WaggyWilly amen! ford's 5R110 auto is stronger than a dodge nv5600 manual and it's rumored that the new 6R140 in the 2011 ford is gonna be even stronger yet
A lot, went from 14.5 to 21 highway, 11 to 14 city - with 35's and the 250 tune. With 37's and the 310 tune, I got 19 on a test tank highway, about 14 city. All hand calculated
yeah haha the howl gives it away, do you have head studs? and is the 6.4 bad about blowin heads as the 6.0 was? i am lookin into getting a new powerstroke so i was wondering how you like it and how it holds up with the programmer and everything else you have added to it.
I don't have studs. The 6.0 was way worse than these trucks. You have to push over 550 HP at the wheels to worry about studs with the 6.4's. Mine has held up great, no problems at all. But I do my own maintenance, and I check fluids a lot. Some have had problems, but not a lot of people. Mine is for sale now. I ordered a 2010 longbed manual diesel, this one's gotta go
@50fordman I ordered the 2010 manual and sold my '08 manual. I heard 2011 wouldn't have manuals, so I wanted a fresh start with a manual 6.4. You won't find me buying first gen trucks, I'll let others do the testing, and I'll buy once they're proven. They do have a lot of potential though.
actually quite opposite-it retrains with pressure. cycle your key 3 times to the run position, and on the 3rd time leave it in run. press down the brake pedal and release, then cycle it 3 more times ending in run. if your horn chirps, it has entered the "tire train mode" which would mean im right lol unless super duties are different than all other fords...let me know
Yep, tire train mode. Then you can use the little plastic crap from Ford to tell the truck which sensor is in each location. Now what magical instrument do you use that tells the sensor what threshold pressure to monitor?
thats all you do. set the pressures really low, train the system at that pressure, then air them up you have then set the new threshold for when the light goes off.
You're right. All 500+ HP trucks take that long to wind up a dyno. And every shop with a dyno doesn't mind at all if you keep pushing it for 7 seconds after it appears to peak out. Good observations dumbass
Intake, straight pipe, tunes. That's it. The tunes plug into the truck under the steering wheel, and the control unit doesn't have to be plugged in unless loading new tunes
I drive a 2000 Honda Prelude and I must say, that thing is fast as nuts! I had no idea that people were doing stuff like this lol That's pretty sick dude. About how much boost are you running?
Auto's are 5 speed, manuals are 6 speed. I have the baseball bat shifter in mine. It has Low, 1-4, and OD. I call OD fifth. I'm going to get a video of the shifting soon. The tuner got 40+ psi of boost with no turbo mods. Just DPF delete, intake, and tuner.
"Nutty Professor tune", lol nowadays that a daily driver tune for the 6.4

@linkthemain No kidding, heck the 310 tune is a dd tune for a lot of Spartan customers. That's crazy

@quadkid4 Spartan 250 Tune adds 250 hp at the rear wheels over stock hp

@KTMwhip Nitto Mud Grapplers - they're loud as hell

@WaggyWilly just as i suspected! ya they are very loud tires, but they chew very well

@WaggyWilly love those tires. they wear great and look amazing but kinda lull ya to sleep on the highway don't they.

You're fucking retarded. The manual is no different than day 1. Ford isn't making a manual because their auto is strong. Can Dodge say that?

you know you could just re-train your tpms system at ohh say 25 psi to keep that pesky light off...
iloveracing112390 2 years ago
re-train with what tools? The remote only recalibrates sensor location relative to the truck. Let me know if you do know a way that works

Why the tire pressure sensor? Do you not have e-rated tires?

Can't put 80 psi in a Nitto Mud Grappler. Stupid tire pressure monitors...

35" Nitto Mud Grapplers at that time. They're noisy as hell

the torqshift automatic transmission is a 6 speed.
jasonz82 2 years ago
If you count Reverse, yes, it has 6 speeds.
WaggyWilly 2 years ago
it has 6 forward gears but the shift strategy is to skip 4th gear when the trans has warmed.
jasonz82 2 years ago
Technically, yes. It will shift 1234-6 when cold, and 123-56 when hot. But it never shifts 123456, right?
WaggyWilly 2 years ago
once u put the tuner in it did were u able to hit 40 pounds of boost or did u have to mess with with waist gates or what??

6.4L powerstrokes are not 6 speeds man....
cowboyup0801 3 years ago
The auto isnt....I think he's talking about the 6 speed manual though, I think this truck has the manual in it.

They offer 2008 powerstrokes with a 6 speed stick. Ive seen a few.

the manual are i got one

i thought the autos in the 6.4's where 5speed with overdirve???
godofwarz 3 years ago
WRONG!
WaggyWilly 3 years ago
i guess its 4speed with OD lol still prefer 6speed man any day tho
godofwarz 3 years ago
I'd like to see a video of you power shifting the gears with the 250 hp tune on.
Anyways nice truck. The 6 speeds are the only way to go in my opinion. Too bad they are phasing them out in the next edition Super Duty.
3rdAssistantEngineer 3 years ago 3
If that's true, that ruins the whole point of a "Super Duty". They should keep the manual transmission in their Super Duty line up.
