I have a Canon HV20 and I´m thinking of buying the Panasonic HDC-SD700 because it uses progressive scan (Sanyo´ video makes me sich because of the bad stabilization) and has higher bitrate than your and my camera. But I dont clike the Panasonic colors. My taste is more with Sony and Canon. Thanks for the upload. Not only the quality is nice - I like your filming! Some say HFS21 is not as good as HFS10 - Should I upgrade now or wait? Also I could buy 550D (bitrate 44mbps) with a good lens?

Thanks for the nice comments! I am really happy with the HF S10. The quality is best in its league for a 1CCD camera. If you're looking for more brilliant colors than the HF S10, I would recommend a Canon 7D or 5D. The 7D will run you around twice as much as an HF S10 after a decent lens is purchased. Body only runs $1,699. 5D is twice that. As far as upgrading from a S21 to an S10...not a bad idea because you can get them under $1,000 right now.

The Canon HF S21 is officially an upgrade from HF S10? Camcorderinfo´ review find the HF S21 actually did worse with color accuracy than last year's HF S11. They conclude that Canon didn't improve the video performance enough I sold a 7D today :-) I didn´t get good video, but I think it was because of a bad lens. I´ll buy 550D + very good lens and best 2010 camcorder. The GZ-HM400 had 1000 TV lines, therefore the JVC Everio GZ-HM1 with back-illuminated CMOS sensor also is on my mind.
