@ridder6689 No, it is more of people having different things they like. I think this film is better than the remake, but not everyone will agree and there is nothing wrong with that.
@Vernedi Thats true everyone has different opinions, mine was the remake seemed alittle to much like a usual preteen horror flick and didn't live up the horror level as this one.
Something tells me Father Malone ripped Blake off over the gold he gave back. He must have melted it down and gold leafed a plastic cross to give back judging by the weight of it!!!. The other 100kg are stashed in the confession booth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The problem is that this is NOT "THE" ending scene of the movie. There is a scene that follows this one, where Blake comes back and kills Father Malone since he (or his grandfather) is the 6th conspirator.
Blake doesn't die after getting the gold, niether do any of Blake's men. They simply take back what was rightfully theirs... the gold that the original 6 conspirators took from Blake. Whether they return to the bottom of the sea, or hell, or within the fog is anyones guess.
@360whiplash I totally agree with you there! The only scene memorable was Selma Blair strugglin' to get out of her car after it sank into the ocean. I wouldn't mind giving her a huge cuddling session and French-Kissing her after she made it to the surface barely in time to save herself from drowning! She was sexy and very fine! It's too bad her hotness and fine looks couldnt save that complete plane crash of a remake!
Blake don't care much for the gold no more, should have brought him some chocolate's instead, he just might have let you live, Father Malone!. This is one of my favourite movies of all time. The lighthouse scene scared me very much when I was younger, it's a shame they never had it in the remake, but the remake was nothing compared to the original!!!
Reminds me of the Dead Men of Dunharrow, ghost army

Yeah, he totally skipped Stevie Wayne's Outro of the warning to the ships at sea to "Look out into the darkness across the water...Look for the fog!"

The 2005 remake was terrible, it should never have been made.
