  • lol 5:16 is that Rainn Wilson xD

  • How wonderful

  • "one of the fascist runners in town" x)

  • Woody's laugh at 03:47 is fantastic!

  • Damn. Cavett really wanted to ditch that shirt lol.

  • The world needs a new Dick Cavett show

  • Pervert previews lol

  • First time I've seen Woody Allen life in my whole life 3:31.

  • sometimes Allen's bizarre answers are quite annoying

  • someone asked Woody Allen if he can oil his muscles. That was a funny question.

  • lol, one of the fascist runners...

  • Very funny! If only today's TV shows were that genuinely fun.

  • hilarious

  • Two of the few great entertainers that we still have with us.... and I'm very thankful that they are.

  • Sweden Heaven or Hell was the first movie to feature "mah na mah na"

    It's also about sex.

  • "top pervert"

Later he married a girl a girl adopted by his wife.

  • @Aginor27 Maybe not a big deal for you but she was not his wife.

  • I love Cavett!! He is so naturally funny, and seems really unegotistical - I think Cavett just about stole the show though here.

  • I love to see Woody laughing out loud.

  • woody is so cute here

  • yes its a real shame he now feels the need to live up to the troubled artist persona in public rather than playing the clown.

  • Woody: "What if I dropped dead from a heart attack?"

Ironically enough, this would actually happen to one of Cavett's guests (publisher and organic-foods guru Jerome Rodale) during a show a couple of years later.

  • he is aperv! Hone, i fucked the kids!

  • lol - check out Laurence Fishburne's mother @ 2:47 - so cool.

P.S. Love the way that cute blonde basically asks him the size of his cock.

  • Cavett was great at improv but he makes sluggish conversation when he is placed in front of people he personally has little interest in.

  • is this from 1969?

  • @kobietheonlyone They reference the ongoing NYC Mayoral race,

    which was in 1969.

  • @tbone76a Even then, people knew.

  • "Dick and Woody."

    (tee hee)

  • Hilarious.

  • "I must walk a few blocks to get what I want".......Woody is a legend

  • Cavett's show, Cavett's house: Cavett's actually faster than Allen here.

Ten minutes of spontaneity that makes you glad you saw it.

Conan, Kimmel, even Letterman, can only look at this and weep.

  • @tuxguys Yeah these guys are their own writers

  • @tuxguys Cavett's "facist runner" joke was the only one worth a titter. Woody carried the show. Kimmel, Letterman, Leno, I agree, though Lettermans and Jon Stewarts most recent interview was hilarious. Letterman tells the story of why Oprah hates him man its all on the spot and on spot. Craig Fergueson and Conan have some great interviews.

  • @tuxguys I don't agree about who's quicker. Allen was hysterical.

  • @angelthman I watched it again to see if I was mistaken... I'm not.

  • @tuxguys Letterman's delivery and humor are very similar to Dick Cavett's style. The other's though, like Kimmel, O'brien, Fallon, etc... aren't even in the same zip code as Dick Cavett and never will be.

  • Dick has a wet chin.

  • That's not bad for an ad-lib. Lol.

  • Woody was so much more acessable in the 60s

  • Woody wore that exact same shirt in "Bananas"

  • "One of the fascist runners in town" Ha, Cavett's as funny as Woody here.

  • The Woodman rules! This is priceless.

  • great!! what year was this??

  • That could of been one of the funniest things I have seen in my life

  • I love it. It's so funny!

  • That was hilarious.

  • Tool. Learn to use the phrase.

  • They beat him [Woody]up back then! He was a good sport about about it! He could never go out in New York city. People would group into a mob and follow him!

  • Really? Why? They didn't actually beat him bloody...did they?

  • Not at all, he would just attract attention and his privacy would always get invaded.

  • the 1st audience member really knocked one out of the park with his question.

  • Silly.
