@ichbinturbo I don't see how you can be so stupid, it's forbidden to put in a faster lap if you're driving through a yellow section of the track. If you put in a faster lap under yellow you will receive a penalty.
@martinzelms clever, maybe. Still doesn't mean it wasn't cheating. I don't know how you can say this isn't cheating, but after looking at your nationality it explains why you'd pathetically try and claim it isn't.

I beleive he deliberately blocked the track to ruin Alonso's qualifing lap... In hundreds of situations, Schumacher has shown a lack of sportsmanship... He never was a cheater, but he couldn't had been closer to one during his whole career
thats right he has not been a cheater but his biggest fault was that he never stood to his mistakes. but there were indeed several things which weren't his fault (for example every incident in 1994... that was an attempt of the fia to keep some tension in the championship). but no doubt schumacher was/is the greatest driver of all time, but it's his own fault that so many peple hate him.
Yes he never was a cheater. I think that doesn't mean a lack of sportmanship if someone make a mistake. So I think Michael didn't want to block Alonso. That's an amateur mistake from him.
Schumi was a freakin cheater and aways will! He was one of the first drivers to use ilegal electronic devices on F1 with his beneton in early 90's. That was one of the reasons why Senna was loosing faith on F1 in 94. Glad he's gone from F1!

michael was nowhere near the racing line!!!! no influence whatsoever in alonso's time....and he was sent LAST...come on that penalty was a joke...at least put him 10 places back if you want to please the haters...but LAST!
You have to slow down for yellow flags no matter where the car is on the circuit. He put the steering straight at the second apex when he should have still been turning hard right. Both of these factors contributed to his perfectly justified penalty.
I think it was a mistake. If he steered right at 1:56 he hit the inside wall, then the rear arbor would be damaged. He approached the turn too sharp. He oversteered and then it happened.
How do you explain, then, why he didn't continue to turn to the right once the front tyres were past the barriers of the corner? He quite clearly changed the direction of his steering at 16km/h. Can't call that oversteer. Brain fade or deliberate, it was still worth a penalty.

stats are facts.said many times but it cant sink into your head.schumi ahead of every stat bar quali.show me some stats and facts.best carrer move u can take is get killed in your prime...mansell, prost could not win a title with ferrari. didnt senna spin out in brazil 94.could not catch schumi .and i know your comeback will b the pit cheating.fact is when he was in the lead senna could not pull him back...but senna tried and ended up spinning the car what a driver..ha ha myth myth
If your deluded fantasy were true - Schui would have gone to Minardi for a real challenge. But he went to ferrari as I said - they were ramping up their efforts 1-=fold to dominate the sport - and Schui wanted to ride on their coat-tails. How you can be blind to that is just pathetic.
And you are still swallowing that "Schui revived ferrari " mythology. BWAHAHAHAAA - oh puhleeze - grow up you twerp. that's tyeenage fantasy bullshit. Everyone in the adult world knows that Ferrari increased their budget to a galactic $500 million ayear to climb to the top - that's the real reason Schui went there - because he was shown the plans to get the best designer (Rory Byrne) and technical director (Ross Brawn). That and he wanted the money himself. [These guys also made his Benettons]
So I take that as you have conceeded defeat? - with no attempt to counter my points (which is full of facts you idiot), just a mere comment that you think it's gibberish. In other words you have ignored all my facts!Truth Hurts huh?
the fact senna went to williams pains a picture of what a real person he was...he always wanted to race in te best team..he never and i mean never developed a team into a world champion team..schumi did it twice with beneton and errari..and yes mate mcclaren can still dominate post senna era..eg 98,99 and last year..look mate no senna and mcclaren still win..get over your myth...u posted 7 messages of jibberish no facts..y beacuse u know the truth..senna myth lives on..
Who gives a fuck about Chamopionships - they are determined by completely irrelevant events like mechanical failure. Real drivers care more about about poles - as Senna said - it shows the truth far more!
(PS: Gilles Villeneuve never won a title but was better than all but 2 or 3 of the 29 that did - proving that titles dont mean jackshit!)
Eliminate mechanical unreliabilty in Senna's cars and his win rate would be close to his pole rate of 40% - and you haven't even begun to factor in all Shui's other advantages with better cars, team-orders, lower competition etc etc etc.
I'm sorry, but I'm totally clueless. What just happened here. To my understanding, he had, what seems to be, a mechanical failure. Yet, the Ferrari team were happy at the end. Did they let him win the race or something???
and i think it wasn't a mistake at all. cars rear wasn't even sliding and he turned his wheel to left? He was like: Should i block alonso? Yes, no, yes, oops it happened...
senna 41 wins (162) races =%25.3, therefore according to my calculations that makes schumi allround a better driver but quite a argin ..case closed..file it away..put it up on the wall..
In 10 years and 161 races, Senna had a whopping 44 mechanical failures (27% !!!), ie. only 117 finishes (or DNF's by driver error). So Senna's proper win ratio is 41 / 117 = 35%. Schumi had an incredulous 0 MF's in 5 years straight from late '01 to late '06.
So there's not much difference, and nowhere near enough to account for Schuey's 7 seasons with the best car (94,95,00,01,02,03,04) and team-orders in 11 years, compared to Senna's 2 seasons with the best car (88,89) never with team-orders!
yeah i forgot poles wins u championships right...dead shits that meansschumi finished all his races and made no mistakes..unlike brazil 94..one big spin by senna...reliability has a lot to do with the driver..senna was too dumb too preserve his engine which is the reason why he didnt finish that many races..unlike the pure racer like schumi who used his skill and brains to finish and ultimately win the races.let me get some realstats for u sad senna fans not senna myth stats ...
real stats senna 162 races , finished on podium 80= 49.38%, schumi 249 races finished on the podium 154 =61.84%..do u see what i mean on every aspect of racing except qaulifying schumi is way ahead of your myth of an idol proving he is the man.percentages r only way of comparing as schumi raced in more races.dont forget before schumi ferrari were unreliable a laughing stock and had no wc for 21 years.a bit of a coincidence that when schumi arrived the greatest dynasty started in f1 history shhhh
As I said before, your calculations are shit - typical superficial analysis with no depth, or understanding of the bigger picture.
I've already been down this road over the past 2 years with 10 other ignoramuses who don't know anything about the sport. And I wiped the floor with all of them - they all shut up. I've pre-anticipated bullshit rants like yours and posted my own videos blowing your argument into oblivion. There is no doubt remaining - Senna - head and shoulders the greatest ever!
So if you want to be educated and have your illusions shattered - feel free to read the description boxes next to my videos. I've had email from around the world thanking me for a rock-solid argument that puts Schumi fanboys permanently in their place. Read it and weep.
Schumi's best achievement was serving as a half-way marker between regular drivers and the super human Supreme Being - the Almighty Senmna!
Do you really think a mere 10% greater podium strikerate is anywhere even remotely near enough to offset the fact Schui had the best cars for 50% of his career (94,95,00,01,02,03,04) and team-orders for 11 years at Ferrari when Senna had the best car only 20% (88,89) of his career and NEVER with team-orders!
And with Schi's 21st century technolgy virtually eliminating mechanical failures whilst Senn'a 80's shitbox cars regularly expired!
Schui stats are not nearly good enough - mediocre in fact
And sorry to burst your bubble about the Ferarri Dynasty - but Irvine almost won the Title for ferrari in 99, and would have had he not been forced to play servant to Schumi in the first half the season b4 Schumi fucked up on brakes at Silverstone and broke his legs. So Irvine was the rightful WC of 99 - B$ Schui won a single fucking 1 for them.
And the year after Schumi left - Raikkonen wins another 1 for them.
BWAHAHA.
Clearly Ferrari wins whoever is driving. Schui just rode on their coattails
haha...what ever makes u feel better...irvine almost won but didnt...schumi develope the new ferrari..so they areall ridinghis coat tails.. and yes last year lewis threw it away..they are hardly dominating ferrari now...even this year massa and kimi have 2 wins each not heard of when schumi was racing..fuc% poles qauli has changed since senna was around..senna went from mcclaren to williams wc so that fact he will never havemy respect he should of went to a lower ranked team like schumi did..lol
I already said (learn to read you dumbshit) that the only reason irvine didn't have the points to win was Schui's gutless insistence on team-orders in the first half of the season - so as far as everyone is concerned - irvine was morally Ferrari's first world champ for 20 years, not Schui - proving their revival had nothing to do with him - it was the Billions of dollars spent, and the genius of Rory Byrne and Ross Brawn.
Your understanding of how it really works is so shallow it's funny!
u wants facts here its is..williams won the championship in 92,93 then your boy senna comes in to ride thee coat tails..true, fact..but ended up with 0 points in three races with them..great driver..its funny how u say the only reason schumi won titles was when his car was dominate and the nonesense of team orders..look at last year wc massa pulled over for kimi to win in brazil ..fact ..f1 is a team sport . ferrari stumbled to the wc last year and they had the best car..
had schumibeen there he would of wrapped it up by half way. there lies the difference between great drives like kimi and a god like schumi. u r biaesed mate according to u when schumi won his 7 titles he had a dominate car but when senna won his titles he had the worst car in the field ..get real boy..to win a chapionshipu need the best car..difference being when schumi won his titles he romped home..to me he was so dominate i wanted someone to challenge him. fact biggest winning margin in wc .
Tirana20,Its hard to say whether Alonso would have beaten Schumis time without the Ferrari parked at Rascasse. But the clear intention imo was to create a yellow flag situation thereby ruining the laps of his rivals
and guaranteeing him pole. And given Schumis history in f1 I don't think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
"A difficult qualyfying, as we knew here In Monaco because the traffic and the possible red flags that could appear. Well, I tried to qualyfying in Q1 and Q2 to enter in the last one, and everything went ok. In this last one we did all our schedule, we used two set of tyres to take Pole."
"The last set was the quicker for about 0.2 or 0.3 second faster than the first set. But in the last kerb, Michael had his car in the middle of the track and I should lifted my foot and I could improve. Well, the P2, we hope, will give me tomorrow the chance to win the race."
sorry im not convinced, still looks to me as though he clipped the barriers, but that video is unclear so it's difficult to tell. sadly there aren't any onboards of it but i do remember commentators saying that he had hit the barrers. wikipedia confirms this view 'In qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix Räikkönen struck a barrier and broke his right front suspension'. anyway it wont matter if ferrari keeps breaking down.
perhaps i hav not been clear, i am not debating whether he had to park at rascasse - he obviously did.
i thought we were talking about why he had to stop there, which was, as i understand it, because he clipped a barrier. reasons i believe this stated in previous post. the onboard u sent me had nothing to do with the cause of the suspension failure.
Your analysis is so weak I had to post 3 videos of my own just to fit my answer in somewhere. So check out my 3 Senna V Schumacher vids. (Ignore the vid - just read my comments.)
A mad thing to do, but it was part of the Schumacher magic. There was always an explosion of madness that kept F1 exciting with Michael around. There's definately something missing this year.
Fangio is 1st in everything - pole, win and world championship ratios. Clark is 2nd in pole and win ratios. Senna 3rd in pole ratios, 4th in win ratios. Schumi 3rd in win ratios 4th in pole ratios. But Fangio and Clark in less competitive times - In the modern era (wings, slicks) Senna's pole ratio is 1st and win ratio 2nd. Schui's pole ratio is 2nd and win ratio 1st. Combined (pole + win) ratio shows Senna 1st Schumacher 2nd.
what a fuckin wanker schumacher is, how on earth can anyone argue that he didnt mean this. always been a cheating cunt. deserves nothing he has achieved
This video is the proof that Schumacher never got over his demons. I actually thought round about 2006 that maybe Schumacher had finally left them behind and become a hard but fair driver. This changed all that, I said to my friend "its over"
Yeah I can't really argue that Schumacher is less of a legend than Alonso :P lol. I tried to make a hybrid name of Senna and Alonso but then I thought what the hell I'd just go for it cos I reckon he'll get 3 world titles and become immortal in that way. Shame they can't take each other on again this year. Don't get me wrong, this season is amazing but Schumacher...have huge respect for him as a driver and off the track he's great family man, charity worker the list goes on.
LIKE I SAID BEFORE SACK FACE ,, HE,S A SULKY CUNT ,, ALONSO ,, CRYING NOW OVER HIS TEAM BEEN FAVOURED ,,, HE WAS LUCKY LAST 2 YEARS ,, BEST HE,LL DO THIS YEAR IS 3rd or 4th ,, watch and see
Lucky in 2005, but 2006 well and truly earned in an inferior car. Going to be very close this year, Hamilton is the first to get under his skin. Was not impressed with FA's comments after Canada. But if you think Kimi will beat him think again.
kimi,s star will shine ,, they will all get to him ,, he,ll loose the plot as time ticks on ,, long season ahead ,,13 points is,nt much at this early stage ,, but will be a one to remember , this w-end should be good ,,and give us more clearer view of whats ahead
He needs to win at least 2 races in the next 5 in my opinion, and podium on all of them. Plus, he needs to beat Massa. But they are too evenly matched, unless Massa gets some bad luck I see Kimi finishing 4th.
This is a Schumacher thread but yeah he is a bit of a crybaby sometimes. Hamilton's achievements can only be truely but into perspective in a few seasons time, but the first signs are very impressive. I want either Alonso, Hamilton or Massa to win the title this year but not Kimi yet I think he needs to put in a bit more effort first :)
the thing is kimi likes to party way too much...glory is more expensive...alonso drives like hell, but talks like un upset teenager...champions are different...
I think he is beginning to mature again-he admitted on Friday it was his mistakes that have put himself where he is behind Hamilton. Also, other champions have whined like that in their early years after winning titles-Prost, and even Michael Schumacher up to about 2000 or 2001. If you don't believe me I will quote him for you from annuals :)
I agree...i remember Alain in 93 complaining about shocks in his williams after defeating Ayrton in press conference...Ayrton took a look at him and told him....Alain, would you like to swap cars ? jajaja, Ayrton was too much....
Senna got pole in 40% of qualifyings (65/161). Schumi only 27% (68/250). The only reason Senna's win rate is 25% not 40% like his pole rate is cos back then they didn't have perfect car reliability. (Senna had a dozen more breakdowns whilst leading! Shumi's win rate of 36% is hugely advantaged by 5 years without a single breakdown!) Senna is by far the best ever!
I don't care what excuses ferrari/scum fanboys make up abotu this one to explain it, it all comes down to 1 fact
HE CHEATED
don't give me any crap about the steering being knackered, it wasn't. When he turned the steering wheel, the front tyres turned, when he centred the wheel up deliberately, so the front tyres straightened up
Fanboys will obviously try to put a glorious spin on it about it being a clever tactic, sorry to break it to you, it wasn't a clever tactic he got what he deserved
2) There was a a yellow flag and if Alonso had gone through without compromising his speed he could've gotten a penalty.
3) Clever driver? Yes, Michael is clever, but this move was just plain stupid. If Michael hadn't done this move, he would've started from 2nd anyway, and Ferrari have proven over the years to be fantastic race strategy planners. Michael could've passed Alonso during the pitstops. Now THAT is clever. That shitty move however, was plain stupid.
at 2:18 you can see that the movements of the steeringwheel are no longer getting to the front wheels. have another look, the steering looks wrong...broken. not that the outcome didn't work in his favour, true enough.
hehehehe u should have been in the ferrari team with those guys who were trying to give explanation :). or u shld have been in FIA u think they are fools to penalize schumacher . he got what he deserved unbelivable and such a cheap behaviour from 7 time WC
So hold up....Are you stillin me that he meant to stall his car near the wall to slow down the other drivers, and he still won that shit?! HAHAHAHA! That's crazy man! Yeah, I seen some highlights of him crashing into people so they can't win, but he still goes down in my history books as the GREATEST F1 driver of all time!!! I still say he had about 2 more years left in him. Did you notice how far back he was in the point chase, and he came back to tie win Alonso near the end.
I don't think anybody would argue that Schumacher is one of the greatest ever but he certainly is a poor competitor. I mean I've played other sports with people, friends in fact, that obviously cheat and yet won't admit it. It just makes him flawed human being, no more so then any other cheater but flawed nonetheless. It's called poor sportsmanship and it will forever be a huge stain on this guys career. I say good riddance, bring on the Alonso/Raikkonen era.
crashed? hahaha eso fue un parking del puto viejo

alexbublea 2 years ago
You have to slow down for yellow flags no matter where the car is on the circuit. He put the steering straight at the second apex when he should have still been turning hard right. Both of these factors contributed to his perfectly justified penalty.

madre mia como se mordio la lengua Alonso en la rueda de prensa. Y despues casi que ni deja acabar de despedirse y se va.
RRR221 2 years ago
I think it was a mistake. If he steered right at 1:56 he hit the inside wall, then the rear arbor would be damaged. He approached the turn too sharp. He oversteered and then it happened.
sesselfurzer2000 2 years ago
How do you explain, then, why he didn't continue to turn to the right once the front tyres were past the barriers of the corner? He quite clearly changed the direction of his steering at 16km/h. Can't call that oversteer. Brain fade or deliberate, it was still worth a penalty.

If your deluded fantasy were true - Schui would have gone to Minardi for a real challenge. But he went to ferrari as I said - they were ramping up their efforts 1-=fold to dominate the sport - and Schui wanted to ride on their coat-tails. How you can be blind to that is just pathetic.
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
And you are still swallowing that "Schui revived ferrari " mythology. BWAHAHAHAAA - oh puhleeze - grow up you twerp. that's tyeenage fantasy bullshit. Everyone in the adult world knows that Ferrari increased their budget to a galactic $500 million ayear to climb to the top - that's the real reason Schui went there - because he was shown the plans to get the best designer (Rory Byrne) and technical director (Ross Brawn). That and he wanted the money himself. [These guys also made his Benettons]
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
BWAHAHAHA!

Who gives a fuck about Chamopionships - they are determined by completely irrelevant events like mechanical failure. Real drivers care more about about poles - as Senna said - it shows the truth far more!
(PS: Gilles Villeneuve never won a title but was better than all but 2 or 3 of the 29 that did - proving that titles dont mean jackshit!)
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
Eliminate mechanical unreliabilty in Senna's cars and his win rate would be close to his pole rate of 40% - and you haven't even begun to factor in all Shui's other advantages with better cars, team-orders, lower competition etc etc etc.

I'm sorry, but I'm totally clueless. What just happened here. To my understanding, he had, what seems to be, a mechanical failure. Yet, the Ferrari team were happy at the end. Did they let him win the race or something???

This has been flagged as spam show
Monaco (the ultimate test of consistent RACE driving):
1. Senna 6 (in 10, = 60%)
2. Hill 5 (in 14, =36%)
3. Schuey 5 (in 15, =33%)
4. Prost 4 (in 13, =30%)
Senna nearly 100% better than Schumacher!
mallamoozoo 4 years ago
yeah thats funny...schumi 91(249) races =36%
senna 41 wins (162) races =%25.3, therefore according to my calculations that makes schumi allround a better driver but quite a argin ..case closed..file it away..put it up on the wall..
MRCV8 3 years ago
Your calculations are shit - typical superficial analysis with no depth, or understanding of the bigger picture.
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
In 10 years and 161 races, Senna had a whopping 44 mechanical failures (27% !!!), ie. only 117 finishes (or DNF's by driver error). So Senna's proper win ratio is 41 / 117 = 35%. Schumi had an incredulous 0 MF's in 5 years straight from late '01 to late '06.
So there's not much difference, and nowhere near enough to account for Schuey's 7 seasons with the best car (94,95,00,01,02,03,04) and team-orders in 11 years, compared to Senna's 2 seasons with the best car (88,89) never with team-orders!
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
And more importantly Senna's pole ratio was 40% to Schui's 27%.
As Senna himself said; "Qualifying tells you the real truth about who are the best drivers - the races involve (mechanical) luck."
DAMN RIGHT!
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
yeah i forgot poles wins u championships right...dead shits that meansschumi finished all his races and made no mistakes..unlike brazil 94..one big spin by senna...reliability has a lot to do with the driver..senna was too dumb too preserve his engine which is the reason why he didnt finish that many races..unlike the pure racer like schumi who used his skill and brains to finish and ultimately win the races.let me get some realstats for u sad senna fans not senna myth stats ...
MRCV8 3 years ago
real stats senna 162 races , finished on podium 80= 49.38%, schumi 249 races finished on the podium 154 =61.84%..do u see what i mean on every aspect of racing except qaulifying schumi is way ahead of your myth of an idol proving he is the man.percentages r only way of comparing as schumi raced in more races.dont forget before schumi ferrari were unreliable a laughing stock and had no wc for 21 years.a bit of a coincidence that when schumi arrived the greatest dynasty started in f1 history shhhh
MRCV8 3 years ago
As I said before, your calculations are shit - typical superficial analysis with no depth, or understanding of the bigger picture.
I've already been down this road over the past 2 years with 10 other ignoramuses who don't know anything about the sport. And I wiped the floor with all of them - they all shut up. I've pre-anticipated bullshit rants like yours and posted my own videos blowing your argument into oblivion. There is no doubt remaining - Senna - head and shoulders the greatest ever!
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
So if you want to be educated and have your illusions shattered - feel free to read the description boxes next to my videos. I've had email from around the world thanking me for a rock-solid argument that puts Schumi fanboys permanently in their place. Read it and weep.
Schumi's best achievement was serving as a half-way marker between regular drivers and the super human Supreme Being - the Almighty Senmna!
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
Do you really think a mere 10% greater podium strikerate is anywhere even remotely near enough to offset the fact Schui had the best cars for 50% of his career (94,95,00,01,02,03,04) and team-orders for 11 years at Ferrari when Senna had the best car only 20% (88,89) of his career and NEVER with team-orders!
And with Schi's 21st century technolgy virtually eliminating mechanical failures whilst Senn'a 80's shitbox cars regularly expired!
Schui stats are not nearly good enough - mediocre in fact
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
And why are you adding 1 to Senna's total of races and subtracting 1 for Schui - are you that desperate for a few decimal points?
Pathetic!
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
And sorry to burst your bubble about the Ferarri Dynasty - but Irvine almost won the Title for ferrari in 99, and would have had he not been forced to play servant to Schumi in the first half the season b4 Schumi fucked up on brakes at Silverstone and broke his legs. So Irvine was the rightful WC of 99 - B$ Schui won a single fucking 1 for them.
And the year after Schumi left - Raikkonen wins another 1 for them.
BWAHAHA.
Clearly Ferrari wins whoever is driving. Schui just rode on their coattails
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
correction "B4" (not "B$") (Schui won a single fucking one for them)
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
haha...what ever makes u feel better...irvine almost won but didnt...schumi develope the new ferrari..so they areall ridinghis coat tails.. and yes last year lewis threw it away..they are hardly dominating ferrari now...even this year massa and kimi have 2 wins each not heard of when schumi was racing..fuc% poles qauli has changed since senna was around..senna went from mcclaren to williams wc so that fact he will never havemy respect he should of went to a lower ranked team like schumi did..lol
MRCV8 3 years ago
I already said (learn to read you dumbshit) that the only reason irvine didn't have the points to win was Schui's gutless insistence on team-orders in the first half of the season - so as far as everyone is concerned - irvine was morally Ferrari's first world champ for 20 years, not Schui - proving their revival had nothing to do with him - it was the Billions of dollars spent, and the genius of Rory Byrne and Ross Brawn.
Your understanding of how it really works is so shallow it's funny!
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
u wants facts here its is..williams won the championship in 92,93 then your boy senna comes in to ride thee coat tails..true, fact..but ended up with 0 points in three races with them..great driver..its funny how u say the only reason schumi won titles was when his car was dominate and the nonesense of team orders..look at last year wc massa pulled over for kimi to win in brazil ..fact ..f1 is a team sport . ferrari stumbled to the wc last year and they had the best car..
MRCV8 3 years ago
had schumibeen there he would of wrapped it up by half way. there lies the difference between great drives like kimi and a god like schumi. u r biaesed mate according to u when schumi won his 7 titles he had a dominate car but when senna won his titles he had the worst car in the field ..get real boy..to win a chapionshipu need the best car..difference being when schumi won his titles he romped home..to me he was so dominate i wanted someone to challenge him. fact biggest winning margin in wc .

Tirana20,Its hard to say whether Alonso would have beaten Schumis time without the Ferrari parked at Rascasse. But the clear intention imo was to create a yellow flag situation thereby ruining the laps of his rivals

sorry im not convinced, still looks to me as though he clipped the barriers, but that video is unclear so it's difficult to tell. sadly there aren't any onboards of it but i do remember commentators saying that he had hit the barrers. wikipedia confirms this view 'In qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix Räikkönen struck a barrier and broke his right front suspension'. anyway it wont matter if ferrari keeps breaking down.
lights2flag 4 years ago
I sent you an onboard view in a private message. It clearly shows Kimi had to park there.
Tirana20 4 years ago
perhaps i hav not been clear, i am not debating whether he had to park at rascasse - he obviously did.
i thought we were talking about why he had to stop there, which was, as i understand it, because he clipped a barrier. reasons i believe this stated in previous post. the onboard u sent me had nothing to do with the cause of the suspension failure.

This is a Schumacher thread but yeah he is a bit of a crybaby sometimes. I want either Alonso, Hamilton or Massa to win the title this year but not Kimi yet I think he needs to put in a bit more effort first :)

SurebrecUK 4 years ago
I think what you an see is "wishfull thinking" there was nothing wrong with the ca, he just plain cheated.
861mike 4 years ago
1) How did he cheat if he got punished for it.
2) Alonso visibly had enough space to get through the corner without compromising his speed.
3) I personally praise Michael for having the book-smarts to pull of such a manouver, It shows the signs of a very clever driver.
karl100589 4 years ago
1) Didn't understand.

I still say he had about 2 more years left in him. Did you notice how far back he was in the point chase, and he came back to tie win Alonso near the end.
metalgear01 5 years ago
I don't think anybody would argue that Schumacher is one of the greatest ever but he certainly is a poor competitor. I mean I've played other sports with people, friends in fact, that obviously cheat and yet won't admit it. It just makes him flawed human being, no more so then any other cheater but flawed nonetheless. It's called poor sportsmanship and it will forever be a huge stain on this guys career. I say good riddance, bring on the Alonso/Raikkonen era.
