I'm surprised at all the comments on her lip syncing. IIRC, it's basically required for artists to lip sync in the MDP. It's not really an option...Not sure why though. I'm not one of the people organizing the thing so I can only speculate, and honestly my best guess is that it's related to problems with the cold. As I understand it, colder temperatures can make voice control harder and/or increase the risk of hurting your throat. But again, I'm not in charge and this is just speculation.

IN THE MACY'S PARADE, IT IS REQUIRED THAT ARTIST LIP-SYNC ON PARADE!!!! It could be because of the cold or some other reason but know that it is MANDITORY!! So now can you ALL shut up!!! ..:)

OR it IS a parade and they might be faced with technical difficulties and it's just easier to tell all the artists to lip sync.

Everyone in parades lip-sync because there is no way to here yourself singing over the crowd because you can't get good speakers. They won't lie about it either. If you want a tone-deaf singer, than have them perform outside with a large crowd around them.
