  • Perhaps the most beautiful score ever written for a film. Haunting.....and unforgettable. Bernard Herrmann (the genius composer regarded this his favorite of all his film scores) Listening to it's beauty after all these years,I can understand why.

  • ha! . . . this is exactly the clip , I was looking for. I had not thought about this film, until early this morning. I searched ~ & Lord behold ... an easy find. Just as it used to be simple to find people in the phonebook.

what one journeys through . . . in this lifetime .

    thanx for the beautiful memories

  • I can hardly believe that anyone could even contemplate remaking the most beautiful film of all time - quite simply impossible!

  • There is no such thing as time, only the glory and beauty of eternity together with the one we love.

  • @buzzclick500 You are correct about time it does not exist it is just a device contrived by man to measure his existence and the existence of all he surveys in his known world. Love never dies as long as it is in the minds of those who have been loved by those still living, although some erect monuments to that love to live on after they have departed the Taj Majhal for example though that to will cease to exist with the measure of dare I say Time.

  • @HAPPYTHELEAF : I'm 56, and can no longer look at a clock or a calendar without snickering at the presumptuousness and the arrogance of it all. ;])

  • @HAPPYTHELEAF : The very measuring of time is, in fact, a way of enslaving one's human brothers and sisters, which is a very bad course on which to embark.

  • @buzzclick500 Well I'm not to far behind you and I must say there is a quickening as the birthdays pass albeit in the mind.

  • @HAPPYTHELEAF : In my 20s, I was certain I wouldn't see 30(I was always doing stupid stuff); in my 30s, I was miserable and prayed not to see 40; now, 50 went by me like an orange cone on the highway--now I see myself as a multibillionaire philanthropist by the age of 75 or so. If life were a video game, I feel like I'm in the Super Bonus round. ;])

  • @buzzclick500 Well that's a nice place to be..

  • @HAPPYTHELEAF : ;])

  • @HAPPYTHELEAF : ;])

  • @buzzclick500 That's what the saying: "Youth is wasted on the young" means.

  • What music! What movie!

  • @Colgatus The music is from The Ghost and Mrs. Muir and the movie is The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.

  • @FanofBewitched

Thanks, but I was showing my admiration.

    ;-)

  • It's what music is for, to express that which words fail to do..much like Genes beauty.

  • If I could have composed music like this, even one adagio, my life would have been well spent!

    Beyond sublime, beyond beautiful!

  • Thank you Maestro Herrmann!

  • Ottimo film..!!

  • Maestro Bernard Herrmann!
