This guy and his teachers are some of the toughest and most skillful fighters in the world. I just started Krav training 6 months ago and I'd give my left nut to achieve half this man's skill before the decade is out. The level of deft brutality and efficiency here is off the charts. I'd love to see a friendly sparring match between one of these guys and a highly skilled Russian Sambo practitioner, Silat practitioner, or Eskrimador (without his stick; they can still whoop ass without 'em).
I have trained at this school; David Khan, Abel, Alan and all of the instructors are outstanding. I learned more at the Hamilton school than I have in my seven years in the Marines.

Youre right that other arts like ninjitsu may be special (taekwondo I doubt because its a sport style; In terms of korean martial arts it would be hapkido or tekkyon which are older military forms). Ive studied 5 styles including krav maga and I truly belive that every style has something benifitial (otherwise no one would train them). Krav maga is dirty and effective, not too technical but is easier to perfect in comparison to may traditional styles.

As far as what's "the best" it's going to depend on the individual. I train in krav and muay thai, but I've been to jiu-jitsu, judo, and aikido seminars. If a kungfu seminar comes around I would go just to see what I could get from it. Use whatever style as a guideline, then explore others because everything has something to offer. Be skeptical.

as a former ranger we got a little into krav in our training im also a black belt in T.K.D. and have studied jujitsu and judo and now study krav 3 times a week here in tucson i can tell you it is far Superior to any other form of self defense because it is so practical and bio mechanical. very natural movements with a lot of force. i love it.

@xxxJimiGxxx Depends on who you train with. Some styles are like that from the videos Ive seem online, however the club I study at does train to differentiate aggression levels. It comes down to each club and teacher, you just have to find out for yourself.
problem is the knife attacks seem kinda lacking, i mean, as a knifeman I would never EVER under any circumstances attack with a knife like that, hence a sort of unrealstic vibe is given off... other than that, 5 stars!

Normanbates68. Yes. Aside from the weapons. We've done most all of this. Usually only once or twice. Just so we get an idea. My instructors are very good at teaching us alot. 99.9% of these moves. I can't do very fast yet. I am still learning. But we learn the mechanics. Over the years I will be able to do them better.
@jpd782 OK !! cool for you, I also practise, that's why I asked you.. it's seems very short one year, I've been practising for 7 years plus lots of training courses .. and I teach .. and I think, unless you train everyday and a lot of hours that you may take your time before certains technics and not to burn steps
The instructor in this video is top notch. Also, the Krav Maga in this video is some of the best on you-tube. I have trained with all the guys in this video and I dare you to take any of us on. We'll see who knows nothing and who will want to train with us after the fact. Another thing is that our training comes directly from Israel under Grand Master Haim Gidon. Another thing to think of is this: One of the guys I trained with has used the gun defense in real life and broke the guys jaw.
@agoenner What is going on with the politics of Krav Maga? There is IKMA, World Krav Maga, Commando Krav Maga. I think the Krav thatl ooks the best is IKMA with david Kahn. World Krav Maga is owned by a district attorney who tried to trademark the name and Commando is taught by a complete phony. Why doesn't IKMA have more schools opening, any near me in Mount Olive, NJ?
@agoenner I study a hybrid variant of krav (traditional israeli and commando krav). If you get the person down and youre still standing, dont drop down for a submition or strikes! Just kick them or stomp on the head instead. Its safer incase they have friends near by to come kick you while youre down. Always assume youre in the worst possible stiuation; youre opponent has more friends, more technical fighting skills, theyre faster, bigger and stronger. Thats why we train to be dirty.

it is easy to defend an attack when you know it's coming and your opponent stands still. These arm locks and knife defenses will not work in the street. Sorry to dissappoint you.
It's merely for training purposes. They also do free sparring / combat.
It's more brutal than most styles out there.
There are no fancy katas or forms, no nonsense. It's straight and to the point.
It's been proven to work in the street because it was developed specifically for street combat. It's used widely in Israel, which happens to be one of the most violent places on Earth. Someone who's highly trained in Krav would be a very formidable opponent.
It's also the best fighting style to instill a strong fierce sense of survival in you. Most martial arts are developed for sport or atleast partly in sport/competition: Boxing, Judo, BJJ, Wrestling, Muay Thai, KArate etc. So this style has a ton of aggression training and fiercness that most people lack in these "street" situations. It's brilliant even for a trained fighter, he can gain alot from even 1 or 2 krav maga sessions.
Really so Tzanchanim does alot of Krav MAga? I made aliyah and am heading trying to go to paratroopers basic T in March but first i have to go to Mihve Alon in December. This is the premier system in self defense. I've been studying the Martial Arts for quite some time now, David Kahn and Krav Maga are similar to peanut butter and jelly, you really don't want to have one without the other. He by far is a true professional to the system and will always be one of the best instructors of Krav as far as I'm concerned. If anyone has doubts, then stop by the school for a reality check.

you serious, hard to believe he would do that. I trained with the guy a few times( not certified just workout, I work more ww2 combative) and really knows he stuff. Do you have proof of this or is it word of mouth?
thaiking, Avi is also running around telling people he used to be part of the Yamam intelligence unit and the Yamam's CQB instructor. Avi Nardia was a jobnik in the army, he served in the army's education branch his entire service, he was briefly hired by the Yamam afterwards as an administrative clerk in Yamam's office and as a part time self defense instructor, and he was fired from BASACAM. The man has never seen a day of combat or field work in his life. He's a master at BSing people.

I have looked over all sorts of martial arts watched what might work in real life threatening situations and what wouldnt. I was turned onto krav maga just by surfing the web and I have to say that hands down Krav Maga is the most no nonsense contact combat system in the world to protect you and those you care for. I really want to learn this system. I bought both books by David Kahn and want to be taught profesionally. keep the impressive videos coming please. thanks alot

it is easy to defend an attack when you know it's coming and your opponent stands still. These arm locks and knife defenses will not work in the street. Sorry to dissappoint you.

It's merely for training purposes. They also do free sparring / combat.
It's more brutal than most styles out there.
There are no fancy katas or forms, no nonsense. It's straight and to the point.
It's been proven to work in the street because it was developed specifically for street combat. It's used widely in Israel, which happens to be one of the most violent places on Earth. Someone who's highly trained in Krav would be a very formidable opponent.

It's also the best fighting style to instill a strong fierce sense of survival in you. Most martial arts are developed for sport or atleast partly in sport/competition: Boxing, Judo, BJJ, Wrestling, Muay Thai, KArate etc. So this style has a ton of aggression training and fiercness that most people lack in these "street" situations. It's brilliant even for a trained fighter, he can gain alot from even 1 or 2 krav maga sessions.

Really so Tzanchanim does alot of Krav MAga? I made aliyah and am heading trying to go to paratroopers basic T in March but first i have to go to Mihve Alon in December. If you could tell me what to expect in the Basic and Adanced training of Tzanchanim I'd be appreciative and any knowledge you have of Sayerot Tzanchanim and Maglan. Toda Raba Achi!

This is the premier system in self defense. I've been studying the Martial Arts for quite some time now, David Kahn and Krav Maga are similar to peanut butter and jelly, you really don't want to have one without the other. He by far is a true professional to the system and will always be one of the best instructors of Krav as far as I'm concerned. If anyone has doubts, then stop by the school for a reality check.

thaiking, Avi is also running around telling people he used to be part of the Yamam intelligence unit and the Yamam's CQB instructor. Avi Nardia was a jobnik in the army, he served in the army's education branch his entire service, he was briefly hired by the Yamam afterwards as an administrative clerk in Yamam's office and as a part time self defense instructor, and he was fired from BASACAM. The man has never seen a day of combat or field work in his life. He's a master at BSing people.

Actually, Avi Nardia is most welcome to come visit the IKMA training center in Netanya. He can come to the IKMA gym in New Jersey as well. Further, he should stop off at BASCAM, the Israeli Police Training Academy. Ask Avi why his website was so radically changed speaking of truths?

That kapap guy Avi Nardia is a good martial artist, but he lies as much as his budy Moni (Pino) Aizik. He was never Lochem, as he claims. He was a part time contract instructor at YAMAM but was let go due to complaints. The extent of his "Intel" work was as a volunteer to laminate maps! Avi, you are good, stop lying! Your lies affect Albert Timen and Yoni Cohen too. It makes you all look like fools! Come clean now and perhaps you will get grace - Moni hung on to the lies too long.

And exactly where did you hear he was all show? I'm sure he, or any of his instructors, would be happy to explain the finer points of Israeli Krav Maga to you if you were to visit the IKMA gym in New Jersey. In addition,I'm sure he would not charge you for the lesson. Your medical bills, on the other hand, would probably be your own responsibility. Keep enjoying that kapap kool-aid!
