  • I have just downloading the Gimp 2.6 because I want to remove some wrinkles and spots from pictures. I selected the healing tool as you said, however I can not get any results when pressing CLT and clicking on the spot. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to add any additional plugins? Please help me

  • @denijnj You need to control-click on a sample spot, then click regularly over the spot you want to fix.

  • How about lesson on using the path tool

  • good vid. How about drawing a logo

  • Can you please help me. When doing this when I select a spot and then use it the spot I selected moves the way I use my brush. Can you please help!

In your tool options on the bottom right hand side is a button. When you hover over it it says "Reset to default values". Click on that.

  • very nice video :D

  • Thx, cool video :D

  • Thanks, and thank you for subbing. :)

  • I just posted a comment on another of your videos, but I read a rude and random remark here. So I thought I'd just say again here that I'm so glad I've found your tutorials and I may change from photoshop to gimp permanently soon thanks to you. Thank you Ms. GIMPTricks.

  • I feel honoured that you watched my video on it anyway. :p

  • So you just intended to talk about monkey balls! My apologies. ;-)

I'm gonna stop our conversation now though. I'm just having a bit a fun with you and want it to stay fun. :)

  • verry nice, that will I use many times! :D

  • Im learning something new in your videos.... good work. =)

  • that is so interesting.. I've been using the clone tool for things like that and it has just taken forever. I didn't realize the healing tool was so much better.

  • In addition to what I said to The NeoChamp,

that's why I made this video. Most people use the clone tool and it takes much more time and effort to get the same results. You should always try both to see which one works best for what you are doing.

  • this is a nice tutorial, but how about more advanced tuts?

  • I'm trying to do all sort of tutorials. There are so many advanced tutorials that are really good, but the basic tutorials are usually done by gimp beginners who might not know the best little tricks yet. So I include beginner tips too. Next up is how to make the wallpaper I used on "cool tricks about the interface." It includes more advanced techniques.

Plus, ralfpatric wanted to know this for ages!

  • ok, can't wait for the nest tutorial!

  • Yesssssss!!!! I can't wait for the next one!! :-D Thank You!!!

  • thx for fulfilling my request awesome vid 5/5

  • bad

  • Duidelijke tutorial bedankt.

  • Good tutorial.

  • Thanks for the tip on the healing tool.

I've never even bothered using the healing tool, always the clone tool. It's good to have a demo and explanation as to why and when the healing tool is a better choice.

  • titel zegt shave someone GIMP, alsof GIMP iemand moet scheren :P, is het niet "in gimp"

    heel goeie tutorial ^^

  • Ja inderdaad, moet in GIMP staan. Ik ga het meteen veranderen.
