  • Stairways solo is soo amazing!

  • Do the Crunge!!!

  • wait how much of a boss is john paul jones?!!!!!

  • amazing

  • This video is from a concert that was only a short time before the shows on how the west was won. I wish they would release more.

  • 10 people are jealous

  • Unico, formidabile, incredibile come suona!!!! the best!!! I love!!

  • 6/22/72

  • a brilliant idea to get all the fans to cough up their personal footage!

  • I don't know what band that goof saw but I'm here to tell you that Led Zeppelin played concerts in '70, '71, & 72 that people lucky enough to have witnessed them still get emotional talking about to this day. Including several future rock stars in their teenage years. Nobody has ever approached Zeppelin in their early prime, they managed to bottle lightning.

  • Framl Marino rocked harder at the swing auditorium than they did

  • @guitarman4u100 never heard of him.

  • i love this band give em credit but might be the worst show i've ever seen in la

  • Its a trip to see Jimmy in jeans haha. He is too good for em and Plant, well he rules too.

  • 10 people thought Led Zeppelin was an airship.

  • @calif562 HEY IDIOT IS WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jameszoso69 Who's the idiot? Is was? What does that mean? Dumb ass.

  • ca c'est des musiciens! et c'est rien de le dire...

  • The Zep rippin up the mighty San Burnahooter!

  • I saw Hendricks in the same hall,it was the house of echo!

  • can you make it louder, library assistant?

  • Man Jimmy is in ROCKIN fine form here...one can see by late 70's drugs had dulled his Hendrix challenging edge. . .shame. Nowdays the old guy can't even hold a candle to what he was in these early days. . .love Zep from the early days....none better!

  • @lexusambassador Jimmy was never challenged! Page owned a decade!! sorry Jimi didnt! dont get me wrong jimi was great!!!

  • @MegaZephead Jimmy Page was my favorite growing up but he really didn't improve after the '73 tour thanks to picking up a herion habit.

Check out "Sails of Charon" by Scorpions (1977) or Catch your Train (1976) to hear some sick guitar playing by Urlich Roth. That's how good Page should have become.

  • @demonhoopa a Scorpion better than God i don't think so.not in my bible..but to each hi own.Rock On Brother

  • @leoru You didn't look them up did you. LOL

  • @MegaZephead your right page is hands down the greatest ever but hendrix is amazing there in questions about that

  • Great Seventies metal...you can see his weiner poking out his pants...girls liked that !

  • Pagey looks like Jack White in this video. It's the haircut haha but Page kicks the shit outta White with respect to White of course. It's just a plain fact on whose better.

    Page>White

    Page>Everyone

  • Hello there music appreciator.

-Do bands like Zeppelin, Floyd, The Doors, Hendrix and the Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music? Well I am formally inviting you to take a listen to my channel, relax and let you ears fully enjoy my sound. I would love it if you took the time, they wont leave you disapointed. And in case if you end up liking it, your subscribtion to my channel will help me show the world my music. Much Love.

  • Page is in fine form here but by 1977 drugs had gotten the better of him.

  • @radbradlee I know what your getting at!, but the LA shows in 77 were AWESOME!

  • @radbradlee That's the easy, standard, spoon-fed narrative. No offense meant - seriously - but I get sick of people parroting that line. Jimmy was at his most brilliant in 1977...but there was a price to pay for the road he took to get there, and there was some bad concerts, sure enough. The good shows in 77 were as good as it ever got...not just for Zeppelin, but for rock 'n' roll...that's my opinion anyway. 1972 is probably my second-favorite tour, by the way.

  • @mielazul I am gonna respectfully disagree with you. The 1975 tour was Page's zenith. By 1977 his heroin addiction was getting the best of him at that point.

  • @mc8lgm If you like the '75 tour, I think you'll love the new soundboard that came out recently. It's from the Seattle show on March 17, 1975, and the sound quality is excellent, and the band is in really good spirits. It's called "Haven't We Met Somewhere Before?" on Empress Valley, but I'm sure there'll be plenty of other copies out there. Check it out if you can. Anyway...all the best.

  • @radbradlee Excuse me...I meant "there WERE some bad concerts." Drinking and posting comments again. BAD HABIT!!!!

  • jimmy page rules !!

  • Jimmy Page is just the best person. Period.

  • I don't think Page has ever been completely sober...

  • It was most likely at "The Swing" Auditoriom.

Many famous people played there , including the Stones.

  • @bufbarnaby it is indeed the swing. just checked this book I have that tells info about all the known Zep shows. June 22nd.

  • @FZmustacheFZ The "Swing" auditorium finally closed many years ago after an airplane crashed through the roof. Don`t remember the year. Maybe early Eighties ?

I saw Blue Oyster Cult there many times after I got drunk in the parking lot ; )

  • just little bits of what made them the #1 touring act. It is not finesse but pure energy. JImmy and the band at their prime.

  • bad

  • check out bigozine2com for all your Led Zeppelin needs!

  • in 1972 there was no video it was all film, which meant loading reels and such, and most small cameras you were lucky to get 5 minutes of footage at best. learn a little history of media before you post

  • So far most odf what I've seen is disjointed poor quality clips. I know there all from so long ago but are there any quality videos here? BTW this is not meant to be a put down on anyones posts. I'm just asking.

  • @phillipians

Most are 8mm homemade movies from people sneaking them in... what your looking for is most likely stored away under lock and key, meaning Jimmy Page...If the band had companies filming them without anyone knowing, it will probably never surface...It's amazing what's on youtube between audio and video from 1969-77, and you never saw any of this back then. I'm 51 and saw them in 1973-77, and 75% of Led Zepp on Yoytube has never been seen until now. Its new to all of us, enjoy it...

  • @morleygrey there is not a lot of this bootleg out there because at the concerts they would kick your ass if they saw you were even recording sound. It really bothered peter grant in particular.

  • BONZO = JESUS PLAYING DRUMS

  • holy shit this is the better perfomance than how the west was won.

  • cool!

  • Hey everyone! MegaZeohead complains and then gets people blocked on this page. Lol! He has to be the biggest fuckin' pussy of all time. All I said was that I think LZ sounds like shit on this video. Geez, LZ fan-boys = castrati Lol!

  • @kurd711 please!! stop annoying fans! your audience is in your mirror!! your comment is one of denial! its ok, no need to plead! your bored!!!! there is no need for derogatory words, life is too SHORT!!!!!! dont look down!!! HHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!! the end!! troll on elsewhere!!!! btw never blocked anything!! sssnnnnnzzzzzzzzzzzz! !!!

  • @MegaZephead Oh, fan-boy, sorry I made you piddle your pussy pants.

  • @kurd55 I KNOW u ARE SORRY!!! what size do u wear???????

  • RE: MegaZephead: Hey everybody, look at at what this asshole MegaZephead tries to post on my page everyday. Lol! He creates a new identity each day to make comments like this: "Kurd55, I need you to go tell your mom that I need my pants back and that I left her $20 on her front porch." Isn't that creative folks! What a brain at 42 years old. Lol! Pathetic. And just think, assholes, he's one of YOU! Lol!

  • @kurdt the age of 55, your choice of word"s are pathetic!!! now i know why many call u a troll!!!!! you dont like a level playing field!!! i stress level!!!!!! grow up!!! did your sister open the closet door yet?!? if she has, its time to change your whale tail! sTROLL!!!!! off zep sites! be a man for once!!!!!!!!

  • @MegaZephead @MegaZephead Yawn. Worshiper(Jim Jones (John Paul Jones)) = Cult. Also, cults are made up of dips and dupes. In addition, they sound like shit on this video.

  • Do the Crunge!

  • Where´s the Plant voice????

  • the Crunge at about 3 min...that has to be one of the few times they ever played it!

  • yes I do and I think you should realize that their music was not loved by the previous generation. The original hippies hated Zeppilin. They thought their music was the a rip off of what they created. They thought Zeppelin were cashing in on what they created. Every generation thinks what they liked was better than what came after them.Lady Gaga are to some teenagers what Zeppelin were to you.Arcade Fire are more important to them because they are of their generation.Get over it.

  • @bret66g er there is a difference in quality, you may have noticed

  • Eight people know nothing about music.... Zeppelin ♥

  • 1:30 :D

  • That was great! Awesome music!

  • They sound like shit on this video. Definitely a STUDIO band.

  • @kurd55 how is this shit?? the audio quality isnt perfect but they are playing great

  • @Matthew9444 I'm talking about Jimmy Page primarily. He has a lot drug-drunken ticks in his solos. He doesn't 1/100th as good live as, for example, Jeff Beck does. He never has and never will. Just take a look at his solo in the movie "It Might Get Loud"--near the end. It's not only boring but riddled with sloppy errors. The movie itself is a piece of shit, as well.

  • @kurd55 I can tell this could explode into a huge beck vs page argument so ill just agree to disagree.

  • @Matthew9444 Probably a wise move. You see, I'm not looking at his playing through a nostalgic, rocker-worship lens. Therefore, I call'em like I see'em. And I will admit that in the studio, he's easily one of the most innovative and tasteful rock players of all time. The studio is where he started, and where he's best, IMO.

  • @kurd55 I get the feeling u think zep always suck live???????

  • @MegaZephead I love Led Zeppelin. But compared to their studio work--yeah, they always sucked. They were just at the highest peak in the studio that could be reached. Even they themselves couldn't live up to it. Fuckin' Page new the studio like a muthafucker. They were just that high up. Much more advanced than like Jimi Hendrix--but Hendrix destroyed them live. But like I said, Zeppelin destroyed Hendrix in the studio, IMO.

  • @kurd55 when you say they always sucked, you mean you have never saw one show that you liked!? i find that hard to believe!!!!! the stage is yours!

  • @MegaZephead I'm saying exactly what I'm saying: I've never seen a Zeppelin live show that comes close to what they've done in the studio.

  • @kurd55 i can only say its too bad you or myself were not A FLY ON THE WALL IN THE STUDIO!!!!!! it sounds like you WANT note for note music!! thanks for getting unbored haha.

  • @MegaZephead In a way, everyone is a fly on the wall in their studio--since the ultimate creation from their studio is their recordings. Jimi Hendrix NEVER played note-for-note, yet still sounded like 3 guitarists when he was playing. Hence, he was a better "jam"/improvising musician than Led Zeppelin. Some musicians are just better improvisers and some are better at planning concepts. Zeppelin definitely became one of the ultimate intellectual concept bands. Easily one of the best in hard rock.

  • @kurd55 I know page was pissed he never got a chance to see jimi. or was that pete T? dont you think that page made things more difficult for himself on stage?!

  • @MegaZephead Yeah, there's definitely a downside to being so marvelous in the studio. They were good musicians, but not good enough to match their own work in the studio. At least they had the balls to actually play live at their live performances--unlike some modern acts.

  • @kurd55 I've seen the new generation of bands. They play live. You have become your parents who thought zeppelin were crap.Your'e old.Get over it

  • @bret66g Wow! Brilliant points, dumbass. And buy the looks of it, you're no spring chicken either, pal. And I do wish you could get over your ignorance, but I believe you're way beyond the point of redemption. And, aren't you a little bit ashamed of being rock-weenie worshiping fan-boy at your age?

  • @bret66g They try to play; get over that, and name names to back up what you say.

  • @bret66g You are being trolled, you need to know that.

  • @kurd55 please for god"s sake!, turn your hearing aid up!!!! ha

  • @MegaZephead If I were a fan-boy at your age, I wouldn't be handing out insults. Take another bong hit bro, best for you to keep living in the past at this point.

  • @kurd55 now now, take it easy, its not my fault your stuck in a closet, and can"t remember how to get out! not an insult, just opinion!!!! 70"s rock ( zep etc..) far superior than today"s. LIVE, unplugged, studio!!! whatever u want to call it, u should know this by now your OLd enough! by the way i dont smoke......................DOPE!!!!!

  • @MegaZephead Lol! You are a star worshiping fan-boy and you didn't like my negative comment on your star deity. It's that simple. The end.

  • @kurd55 i have told u before, that i am a worshiper! u want to call me a boy, man, whatever!? that"s fine. your comment didn"t bother me. i like this!!!!! i repect your op! what is sooo wrong with the past???? it can"t be so bad! you are always on OUR zep site!!!!!! btw i will let u know when the end is here lol

  • @MegaZephead First of all, "Our Zep site." (???) Lol. Sorry I stepped on your your holy cultishness' toes. The only reason I return here is because you older (sometimes WAY older) fan-boys can't let it go. If I didn't receive any nasty comments, I wouldn't have showed up after my initial comment. I watched the video and simply stated they sound like shit. I did not say LZ sucked in the studio--quite the opposite. Just take it like a man and move on. Again, they sound like shit on this vid.

  • @kurd55 i get the picture! ( your"s) when u say in your op, something is shitty! that"s fine, but to tell me that to love,(worship), is child"s play, that"s just wrong!!!! what is to let go?? never listening, or loving zep, because u say whatever sounds like shit to u! no way my friend ! that" s where the gripe is!! also that wasn"t the reason why you replied back! u know that! ( food for thought) what have you seen that u like??????????? frieghtning thought! oh boy???

  • @MegaZephead Think what you want. The facts are that I said this video sounds like shit. Then, you and the other LZ worshiping fan-boys got mad that someone dared cast dispersions on your holy deity--prompting said LZ worshiping fan-boys to whine. The end. (PS: I think cultist behavior is to be frowned upon, in general. Whether it's the cult of Jim Jones or John Paul Jones.)

  • I N C R E D I B I L E
  • wow :45-:50 turning the tuners awesome!!

  • the swing auditorium in san berdoo. bitchin.a plane crashed into it. no more swingin.

  • @derekRTK the plane crashed into the swing auditorium in 1981. it was a crop duster if i recall correctly.

they closed the ontario motor speedway the following year in 1982.

ever since then the concerts at the national orange show events center in san bernardino are in the citrus

    pavillion.

  • This must be some of the very first performances with songs from Led Zeppelin IV. Don't think that I has seen Black Dog performed before this. And The Crunge, which was released in 1973!

  • This must be some of the very first performances with songs from Led Zeppelin IV. Don't think that I has seen Black Dog performed before this.

  • I watched the super-bowl at my friends the other night and after the black eyed peas did their half time show I died a little inside then my friend said "ah the coreography made it really good" I died a little more. How does dancing make the song good!? Please someont explain this to me!

  • ahhh i love led zeppelin!!

    robert plant= awesome vocals

    John Bonham= amazingggg drumming

Jimmi page= outstanding guitar playing (hes a wizard)

John paul jones= beautiful bass player :)

    nuff said!

  • Me hubiera gustado estar alli :C

  • A sober, in-prime Jimmy Page beats all guitarists to ever exist. Hendrix is probably like, "Damn, how is he fucking doing all that?" in heaven.

  • ★Led Zeppelin★ remain the greatest rock band to ever set foot on a stage. No band before or since has even come close. Zep's first six albums so far, have sold 76-million copies just in the U.S. alone, that's an average of 12.6 million per album. No music artist of any genre has ever matched this feat.

  • Jimmy page wus soo high at this performance

  • look at page playing it's like his guitar is a part of his body . dont get me wrong i am not ignorant i play guitar page had it all it;s to bad herion got it;s evil grip on him . zepplin is king bizich

  • damn page was on that night... this is pretty cool. i love the showmanship and all the little dances he's doin while he plays. that's half the battle anyway... looking like you're playing something awesome and subsequently delivering.. haha

  • Awesome live !

  • sheer class. british class i might add!

  • ooooooh yeaaaaaaaaaa!!!! hey mama said the way you move gona make you sweat gonna make you grooooooove!!!!

  • The section of "the crunge" is the best... wish they had played it live more often

  • talent on stage

  • *them

  • hopefully soon there will be another generation that will again appreciate true ingenuity and tangible technique over push button programmed regurgitated crap.

this is sorely missed and we need more of it immediately or sooner, please!

  • Bernadino 1972,

O'boy I liked it. You are my great musicians and heroes.

    WL

  • Jimmy bustin' out his 'the crunge' dance steps for the win!

  • they absolutely have taken as many great musicians as they have influenced . I do not condone drug use at all . If a guy with Page's mind can get in over his head with it then it could happen to anyone

  • @Tecumseh1812 wright on go jimmy.

  • Goddamn! Simply, the goods. The "Crunge' section gave me chills. Much more raw, loose and funky than the studio version.

  • do you know whats great about zep? they didnt have to sound super distorted to sound awesome. the only time they had a "crunch" was (rah, htwww, and knebworth) and of course on albums. which i guess gives some hope to little jimmy page fans that want to get his live tone. true it is in his fingers, but his tone is mostly "clean".

    Cheers

  • Page + Sober = God.

  • @RockerForLife74 i agree. Page needed to stay of the fucking drugz :(

  • @RockerForLife74 crazy thing about Page is that when he was at his worst as far as being wasted (in the mid 70's) , and at his worst onstage , he was at that same time composing better and more original music than ever

  • @Tecumseh1812 True. But still, fuck drugs. Page is the best guitarist to ever walk this earth.

  • Comment removed

  • I love the way Mr. Plant keep his prick outside his pants! No man can ever do it as sexy as that!

  • Long Live Zep!!!!!!!! \o/

  • Absolutely jaw dropping footage. Wow.

  • 1972 Zeppelin, bloody hell, proof of why they're the best band in the world.

  • No Offense but if you stop this video anywhere between 1:22 & 1:32, it appears as though Robert Plant has a hole in his blue jeans with his (flaccid ) willy bobbing about. I love the man whatever he does and he's quite sexy. Wish I was there! Jimmy Page is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful concert video! Thank you for posting it. Is this available for purchase?

  • Jimmy is a beast on that guitar!

  • @GuitarsGalore557 up to :37 it was the immigrant song. the solo

  • Musically, a better performance than The Song Remains the Same (movie)

  • @Ulai777 ya i guess so all though tsrts was really cool performancem i think htwww is their best

  • what was the song at the end before a whole lotta love

  • @GuitarPhi1 the crunge

  • Was this some of the video for How the West was Won?

  • @Ulai777 now

  • @Ulai777 no i dont think so that was in la, but zeppelin should release some of those videos

  • @zoso522 You are right, if there is video for that audio recording it is going to be killer , the band sounds really good on that album, so much better than The Song Remains the Same..............In my humble opinion. I saw the movie when I was about 10 years old(the year it came out) and really wasn't into the band. Needless to say, I didn't like olives then either! Some things take a bit of age to aquire a taste for

  • Despite the rough editing, Led Zeppelin live in San Bernadino '72 puts you in a state of bliss.

  • For some really good J Page video and playing, check out the "My time of Dying" video. Well worth the view.

  • I like it when they play "The Crunge". Its so FUNKY!! 2:36

  • i think that, in 50yrs from now, my grandsons will have the chance to get to know what their grandpa listened to!

    long live r'n'fn'r!

  • This is when R&R was Rock and Roll. NOT the crap out today. Any moron can be a superstar today with all the voice machines, 100 dancers on stage, MTV. You had to have raw talent back then, thats why they LAST. You think 40 yrs from now people are even gona know what a GAGA was?

  • @MegaBob77777 Now this is a very intelligent comment. I agree with you 100% my friend! Any kid with a tin can for the beat and an auto-tuner for his vocals can get signed by some crappy label and possibly get airplay. The talent {unfortunately} is not there anymore. If you were able to see shows like this as a kid, i is something that you should hold onto with pride. The music nowadays is invisible. Vampire Weekend impressed me with their style. Anyways, great comment!!!

    Paneeks/Boston

  • @Paneeks1960 me and my brother are actually not to bad, you should listen to is play on my channel , we play some zeppelin and hendrix and some of our own stuff, i think we are different from everything today

  • @MegaBob77777

we know who madonna is, so yes

  • @MegaBob77777 well said mate-too true

  • @MegaBob77777 hahahahaha you are totally fucking rite my friend. its sad what it has come down to. MTV is a fucking JOKE to boot thers no RAW POWER no more!

im ready to off myself i cant take it anymore. lol..

  • @MegaBob77777 you right about that Pure talent at those DAY

  • @MegaBob77777 Yeah! What's a gaga?

  • @MegaBob77777 true, but don't you see it? slowly people are getting fed up with the mainstream/modern crap. Many people are slowly starting to listen at classic rock more & more. There are more young teens that like classic rock ompared to when i was in high school. In short: the classic scene is coming back & the 60s revolution will be repeated to some extent - that's what i'd like to believe anyway :)

  • @70marco80 Amen to that Marco. All we need is the Zeppelin, some 714's, and just Rock n Roll. Doesn't get better than that............

  • @70marco80 I've been dreaming of that for such a long time, so nice to see someone agrees :)

  • @BBBmarko You're right, it's always nice to see people share your dream. But I've noticed it anyway: new mainstream crap is starting to lose its thunder - disney and the record companies have dried everything up. The next 2 big things will be the classic rock/metal/folk/blues etc etc style bands or the cover band. Yes, the cover band because unfortunately, the reality is that all these great bands are either retiring or dying slowly. Once none of there are left cover bands will be necessary

  • @BBBmarko ...to continue giving audiences the music and shows people love. It will happen with this generation or the next. Mark my words! :D

  • @70marco80

God I hope your right..I pray for my children every day that they will see through this Disney crap they have been fed....

  • Comment removed

  • @chunter5100 yep Disney is dishing out "a whole lotta crap" but if I think back on the 70's I'm not sure I want my kids smoking dope and doing acid either. Don't now what's worse actually.....and getting into mega sex orgies....OMG!

  • @KSitz77

you know now that I have to 7 yr olds, that 's a really a good point...What's worse? Disney total destruction of Rock, or Acid and dope? Honestly...would I have my kids listening to Disney or doing Acid...of course they are only 7...so it would have to wait about 10 years....and my daughters future does not include a pole...so ...who knows?

  • @MegaBob77777

couldn't agree more with you and to the 5 dislikes go fuck yourself

  • @MegaBob77777 Whos gaga?

  • @MegaBob77777 lol our period ll be remembered as a sad period! The art's black whole! I personnaly don't give a shit about that, if people want to listen shit, it s not my business... ;)

  • @MegaBob77777 Very well put. I grew up with Zeppelin in the 70's. Even beyond the showmanship, Page had a true aptitude for complex melody lines that most artists today can't begin to understand. It was truly a different time in musical quality...one that I probably won't experience again in my lifetime. I'm glad I had the chance to experience it. Thanks so much for your comments.

  • @MegaBob77777

Yeh there have been some good bands since led zeppelin though... the nineties music in particular was pretty damn good, nirvana will be played until the end of time , so will pearl jam, because both of those bands had artistic character much like led zeppelin. Don't be an old fuddy duddy and think that only led zeppelin and the beatles were good bands, and there will be good bands again trust me, as for now it's a dead period in music cuz theres no money in it.

  • this is soooooooooooo sexy

  • @9sshty6 This is pure sex and drugs and rock. The good drugs hadn't turned against them yet and they were amazing performers/musicians. Add that up and its makes music so divine and beautifully inspiring its hard to beat.

  • His posing was an extension of his showmanship. It wasn't for lack of playing or musical ideas. Just to give the punters in the cheap seats something to see. Don't forget this before the era of giant video panels which let the folks on the rafters see their idols up close and personal, even f you were half a football field away.

  • @musicmann1967

I like that phrase " his Posing was an extension of his showmanship " love it and so true. Also very interesting to watch them close up in film. The concentration of their showmanship is extraordinary.... just boys really then, too!

  • 1:34 - 1:53 BRILLIANT

  • I dont know who posted this and/or where they got this video or where they got thier information from about this video but as much as I can remember back then I saw them the 1st time in 70 at the Forum and every tour after (they sold out 5 nights every tour) but I dont recall them playing at the Swing if thats where this was filmed because if they did I wouldve heard about it and wouldve been there just like in San Diego but I dont remember everything from back then I could be wrong lol

  • i liked the stairway to heaven solo
