I have they're top 500 songs. Naturally, I knew most of them. There were some serious flaws in their logic, however.

1. One Queen son wasn't in the top 10, but there are 2 Bob Dylan ones

2. No Harry Nilsson, Nico, Tears for Fears, etc.

3. Too many soul and blues songs, omitting classic disco, rap and 80s ballads

Never read the magazine, though I dislike their judgement (allmusic is better, but then again, they gave Paris Hilton's album 4 stars (ugh))

IMO, the magazine began to lose credibility late in the 70's, and it's been a steady downhill slide ever since. Nowadays, Rolling Stone magazine is just another useless pile of paper. Furthermore, their involvement in the nomination process for the R & R hall of fame should be eliminated. They make judgments based on personal preferences and money; not on true artistic contributions to music. A once great magazine has become nothing more than a steaming pile of bullshit.
