  • @wiganerrmc The 3 Port of spain class ships where cancelled because they where delayed, had cost over runs and they found a better cheaper deal, 6 Faster boats for just $51million, Cheaper to run the Patrol boats, Training and maintenance is simpler, and well, there just better suited for what T&T need, A class of vessel to patrol there EEZ, The POS class Was too large, Too costly and Too slow for the job, Not to mention for there size and cost, No real weapons.

  • where did you record this? and what's the patrol boat name?

  • You can keep up-to-date with the latest developments from Austal (the builder of this ship) on Facebook. Just search the Pages for Austal

  • Yea, it's one of those 30 metre patrol boats built for Trinidad & Tobago Coast Guard by Austal. I wonder how far, they reach with the 90 metre Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) in built for TTGC in UK.

  • Looks great. I think I can solve the mystery though - looks like one of the 30 metre, 40 knot aluminium interceptors being built for Trinidad by Austal Ships. I guess you filmed this near the shipyard in Fremantle. Wonder if they want a test passenger
