  • Comment removed

  • Video is slightly sped up, the pitch of the music is just off...

  • cual es el nombre de esta cancion por favor song's name pls

  • What's the song in this scene called?

  • i find it a bit heartbreaking and interesting that even in the opening of the film, the introduction to the character you get the sense that there is a hole in Carl's life. He sleeps on one side of the bed, sits at one side of the table and it's obvious someone once slept and sat on the other--it's shown that his wife's passing affected him deeply even before you were told their story or that he even had a wife

  • This is the best scene in the movie Up!

  • is the same song the Muppets sing in the video: Habanera

  • After watching Magnolia, this scene in Up becomes a thousand times funnier because of its use of Carmen. Both are brilliant movies.

  • i want to be just like carl

  • i love how he forgets that last chain hahahahha

  • I sooo love this scene! :D

  • which is the name of the song? please i want to know

  • @scherzare17 It's an instrumental version of "Carmen". Just look up Carmen and you'll find it. Btw- it's originally an opera.

  • La Habanera is a strange selection for this scene, but it works very well! I love Carl :D

  • 0:32 they did make those chairs for senior... I thought Pixar made it up for Carl to go up stair or down stair.

  • @BicycleCards808 bizet - carmen habanera

  • @BicycleCards808 It's called "Habanera" from the opera called Carmen.

  • THE ARISTOCATS :D

  • It's weird how he apparently couldn't walk the stairs of his own house, but had no trouble trying to outrun a dog and oversized bird in the jungle while pulling a boy and a house.

  • @CaninesRock He wasnt in the mood to walk.

  • @CaninesRock He was just out of practice I guess...

  • @MrBobopoe not really gabor

  • @CaninesRock

I think that was probably because he willed himself to do it,

    plus a HUGE addrenaline rush.

  • @CoDfan2011mw2 I agree

  • 1:07 makes me a bit sad :/

  • When I saw this in theatres, I was like "It's Habenera!"

  • haha! hilarious!

  • JAJAJJAJAJAJ!!!

  • that looks like the same construction yard from toy story 2

  • I laughed so hard, this was probably one of the funniest scenes in any cartoon movie I have ever watched! It's really funny because we all know this is true for an old man who lives alone.

  • Lol, at this point I was laughing, just seconds before you were given this huge montage of his life showing a long happy life full of unfulfilled dreams. Then you see Carl is the cantankerous old man character that goes "Git off mah lawn!"

  • Love the song track

  • the life of carl fredrickson

  • @ngiurre i feel for you mate

  • this is one of the greatest scenes in the history of film making

  • Lol!!!!!!!!

  • He reminds me so much of my grandfather! Lives alone, full head of white hair, grumpy, wears glasses and has a square jaw.

  • gracias por dejar el link de la cancion!

  • My brothers spent like TEN WHOLE MINUTES, laughing in the movie theater after Carl tried cracking his back. I was like, "Omg, shut upp. It wasn't that funny -_-".

I started laughing afterwards with them xD

  • @1ThreeDaysGrace

whats the name of the song

    imm loooking for it!!!

  • @1ThreeDaysGrace

you might want to search for the habanera orchestra version. Actually, here search for Bizet:Habanera

thats the orchestra version, but in a different octave...i think thats what its called.

  • He sounds different-Is this from a different language of UP?

  • @LukePetticrewTime its from the german version, but i think this part is international, but im not sure

  • @Osborn2 Yeah, it's international. It's my favorite scene.

  • @LukePetticrewTime i think it's a lil speed up version

  • the pitch is a bit high

  • where did the cane come from at 0:28

  • @annagong963 I was wondering the same thing so I studied it and you can kind of see it between the bed and the nightstand before he gets up. It's hard to see because it's the same color as the wall behind him.

  • @scraps992 oh thanks i thought the cane was in his pocket and he extented

  • @annagong963 Sarcasm isn't easy to read via comments on youtube. I was thinking it was just a continuity goof.

  • @annagong963 How is a man able to tie a bunch balloons onto his house and suddenly become airborne?

  • @shanez1313 i don't know he weight the house down then when it lift off it pops out of the roof

  • @shanez1313 because shut up.

  • i like the music.... it fits the mood lol

  • I love the Film until they get to Venezuela, i would love to see grown up Pixar Movie.

The beginnings of WallE and Up were Great but then turned to classic Disney Slapstick

  • @Issun9000 I completely agree. I thought the beginning of this movie was so fantastic but severely got off track with the talking dogs and big bird.

  • I like the music... They played it at the Houston symphony

  • the song is called habanera

  • Does anyone knows how's the background music's called?

  • I love Carl xDDDDD

    Up's a fantastic film. I love it (:

  • dude thanx it's hard to me find this song thx for sharring

  • I love this scene! Him getting stuck on the stairs had me rolling on the floor!

  • wow, best film Disney has yet to produce. Music and film - wow.

  • this movie shows one thing

    old people are awesome

  • this is gorgeous: tragic and sad, yet funny and cute.

    simply a master piece.

  • good what that steersthing going slowley

  • Love the fact that he is still sleeping like she is still there, as evidenced by the fact her side is straight and unmessed. All his routines carry forth, and so does he in her spirit.

  • 2 Oscars! Pixar's films continue to get better and better

  • This is HILARIOUS! What IS the song name? I love this song, so funny.

  • @Music11Listener It's Habanera from the opera Carmen by Bizet

  • @mifdsam Thanks! i find this music so long time le.....

  • whats the name of the classic song?

  • Grape Soda ftw.

  • funniest thing i ever seen xD

  • great filmmaking to seamlessly incorporate such a phenomenal piece of music. With habanera's motif starting in a minor key (after the sadness of ellie's passing) and progressing into a major optimistic tone, I think that shows the strength of Carl to carry on, stubbornly. This transition is so important for the film

  • this whole scene with carl by himself is a bit sad but they make it so hilarious that it makes the tears go away after the tragic scene of ellies death. love this movie!!!

  • Absolutely! It is BRILLIANT!

  • Habanera is what makes this.

  • omgg i lovee thisss!!!!! lmaoo its sooo funnyyy when hes goin down the stairs, and if you guys notice, when he wakes up, the sun is shinning on ellie's side of the bed, and same when hes eating. its soo sad :(, btw does anyone know what song this is?

  • habanera from the opera Carmen, by Bizet

  • does anyone have a link to download this song? plz

  • @justbetitanic look up Habanera on Itunes or just on Google

  • this is my favorite scene from the whole movie.

  • ahahahahahah love sooooooooooooooooo much this scene

  • Gorgeous movie. By the way, the last scene with Carl's house in the middle of an urban development reminds me of the picutre book I read when I was a kid... called "The Little House" or something. Made such an impression on me when I was 6-7 years old. I feel like reading this again :)

  • That is exactly what I was thinking just now.

And how the little house got taken away and all of that? Good times.

  • This is, like, my favourite of the movie. I like it how the thing that goes down the stairs got stuck and Carl hit it. Also when he have to unlock all the keys. LOL

  • XD look at him go..as fast as lightning XD

  • lmfao laughed so hard when he was goin down the stairs

  • Awesome!

  • love this scene xDDDDD

  • This was probably my favorite scene, actually.

Funny with Carmen's Habanera in the back, since the song fits with the negatives of old age.

  • thanks 4 finding the song

  • yeah i found Angela GHEORGHIU - Habanera - Carmen (Music Video)

  • ? which song is that?
