  • Smallman does not use French Polish. Nitro only.

  • Very impressive Edson. A treat for the eyes.

  • Another spec that will help your guitars in case you aren't doing it already is to keep the saddle string height at the bridge between 8 and 8.5mm. This is a Smallman spec that he does on his guitars. Please post some audio! :-)

  • Thanks be to the gods for Greg Smallman... this design is genius.

  • Thats what i call a Masterpiece,

  • A sound sample would have been nice. Try french polishing, Im sure Smallman uses it.

  • Thank you for your comment.

Well, I use for the construction of the sound board, Canadian cedar, very spongy and very thin (1 mm, 0.7 in the board), Nitro makes it harder with better sound.

  • Ah, great work then - no room for errors on such a thin material!

Still looking forward to hearing your guitar!

    Greetings, S

  • @edsonvalencio Hi edson. Good job!

  • @edsonvalencio Good Job Edson! You can make your braces smaller. 3mm wide by 8mm tall is what Smallman uses.

  • @simonshusse I thought you might be interested to know that Smallman does not use French polish, he uses 2 coats of acrylic lacquer on the top. First coat is clear then sanded to get the nibs off. The clear (gloss) coat doesn't have the heavy filler. That coat is followed by a matte coat. The pores of the soft cedar top are not filled by the lacquer. It is thinner than a French polish finish.

  • @schrammguitars - yes, thanks, I got a message saying sort of the same thing. It sounds really interesting. I'm not very interested in the craft of french polishing - if similar results, or better, can be achieved with less effort I'd rather use the time working on wood details or such :-)

  • It is impossible to allocate a sight from this miracle! Perfectly!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • just jizzed myself

  • Bela Guitarra!!!
