Im about to buy my first AR I am looking at the olypic arms 20 inch A2 (KB4) anyway question is do you think the bushmaster is any more reliable or picky with ammo! Do you have a preference oly or bush? If its a tie I can walk away with the oly have to order the bushmaster! I have 1k to spend! only requirement is 20inch full size rifle. ( im 6'5" carbines are too small for me! ) ps love your oly vids!
@johnywinslow Honest opinion here....I own both as you can see. I have never had any issues with my Bushmaster! The OLY ARMS I like as well, but I noticed on a couple of occasions it did not completely empty a mag especially with rapid fire! There would be like two rounds left...it's happened twice. My guess it it could be the ammo I was using and also I need more break-in time with it so it's of no real concern at this point. Not to mention I live forty-five minutes away from the factory
A good friend of mine is a gunsmith, he custom built an AR-15 that he traded to me for a high end pool cue I built a few years ago. I also got the case, a handful of magazines and one beta magazine. I haven't shot it yet but I AM looking forward to it!

@MarshalZhukov I almost got the "Plinker" when I took back the Whitney but since they were accommodating me it seemed better to get something I could change out later if I wanted to. Yes been to Surplus Ammo everytime I've been to TAC TAILOR! I'll let ya know MZ I do want to hit a show its been awhile...trying to build up some funds to have so I can actually get something!

Just got a Bushmaster ORC 5.56 from Santa Claus......Really like it. Some of the gun snobs say Bushmaster is not quality, but they have been around a long time. If the product was inferior, they would have gone out of business a long time ago. You have to take what you hear on the forums with a grain of salt. Just wanted to let you know your rig loos great! Hope you get a lot of enjoyment from it and let us know if you make any more changes......Good Luck
@TheHamNut Cool!!! I've not heard that Bushmaster is not quality...they have always been in the top 10 or so of AR top rifles. Now a days there are so many different makers just like the 1911 who can keep up with who's the best etc. Bushmaster works and this rifle of mine has worked beautifully! Congrats on yours! @TheHamNut You can't really use the length of time Bushmaster has been around to equate the quality. Bushmaster was bought out by Remington a few years ago and since then their quality has gone to hell. The old Bushmaster company from the late 80's and 90's made some great ARs. Since Remington took over they have had some issues.
The new AR looks is great but for some reason I don't like these fore grips for the AR. Even the integrated fore grips of the wooden hand guard of an AK looks shitty in my opinion. I would either grap the gun on the hand guard or press my hand against the magazine well.

@rugersix thats when I bought mine too. right after the AWB expired. I'm just sying, I saw one last week on GB and was surprised the colts were cheaper. I like them, either way.

yup cool quad rail...to much weight up front puts stress wear between the upper and lower...these guns are aluminum, not steel like the old days M4s

those things are expensive, about 1400 without too much ginger. I only paid $999 for my Rock River Arms with the Hogue grip and the NM trigger.
