your adrenaline pushes lots of the pain out, plus the crowd usually goes crazy and that just makes you go for more and more.

on my last set i wiped almost positve i hit a rock, as a result got 5 stiches on my leg.

as soon as i knew i was gonna wipe out i starting freaking out cuz i know i would either got knocked out by a wave or even die, but on the end i just got stiches so i was happy with that.

but going out is also very rewarding.

i didnt go in the afternoon

waves are strongest and highest in the morning.

most of these waves shown here dont even pass 10 ft.

when i went waves were for sure over 20 ft.

I was out during Hernan and this swell, Hernan had some solid 20 foot sets and one set wave was 25 feet, this swell had sets that were 25 feet and and a few 30 foot sets....this thing was way bigger !

If you think this is the biggest wedge swell ever you are mistaken. Hurricane Hernan in 2002 was producing waves this size but the wedge was also working correctly. The waves were doubling up there as they like to do. Not occuring this time
