So many great sounds, I can't decide which is best. The Lexus IS is definitely the worst because it makes a strange, synthesised sound which is really un-natural. On the otherhand the best sound is either the BMW M3 or the black Dodge

Charger or the Murcielago. I guess ultimately it has to go to the Lamborghini because that company exists only to give us incredibly fast, savagely loud supercars. Unlike BMW or Dodge.

V8 tone is hit or miss. I love a LS1 (or newer variant) with a nice exhaust. I love german V6s with the VW VR6 being my most favorite.

The real issue I have with american V8s is that every redneck with a F150 or Silverado will put flowmasters on it and thinks it sounds good. They sound like garbage and it's such a generic sound. Sad really.

True, but you don't necessarily need a bunch of torque if you are light. If your handling is better, you can maintain a higher cornering velocity, and be higher up in that RPM band on corner exit. Both have pros and cons.

For most of the driving I do, a big ol' 5.0L V8 would be sweet in my Ranger, but the lightness of the 4 cylinder I have shows compared to the 4.0L V6 in some. Taking a cloverleaf at 40 with nary a squeak is sick! Still think my bike is more fun though!
