Master Chief wouldn't have a problem. He'd run in with a chain gun, use that up and pull out a rifle or dual smg's, then just reak havoc with plasma grenades and the plasma sword!!!
well you cant say that they betrayed us. We assumed that they were friendly but that assumption was incorrect. Thus there was no betrayal to being with.
The Terran Federation was at war with these aliens before the bugs. They called them, "The skinnies," or something like that. This episode reminded me of that from the book. Interesting that they are introduced as something new in the series. Still, I don't mind, it's a great series nonetheless.
I know what you meant. The terrans are the humans though. As for whether the skinnies worship, or control these bugs, that very question is answered later.
Were they? I don't remember that being explicitly stated- I do remember that the first chapter/section involved fighting them, but it was also a ways into the fighting, and that the book liked to jump around time frames a bit. At least, it starts in the middle of Johnny's military career, then switches to the time when he decides to and joins the military, but also continues to reference Rasczak's classes all throughout the book.
... in fact, I hadn't realized this before, but researching about the 'skinnies' and their appearances in the original story online, I've seen it pointed out that MI actually were apparently told to minimize 'skinnies' casualties..? Their main purpose in the first chapter was to take out strategic targets, not kill the aliens. I'd wager that, universally, the major target of the Terran forces is the Arachnids, and the 'skinnies' are treated as a distraction or such.
Id say the humans were very lucky that the Arachnids didnt come at them with all there force. Basicly they went up against an instersteeal empire with only 1 system under their control loll. Buttt such large empires attract many enemies... soo maybe they were fighting 50 other races at the same time and the humans werent a very large threat comparatively...
That's actually one thing that bothers me- the Terran Federation is supposed to be larger than just the Sol System. Surely, if they have interstellar drives as they seem to imply as the series comes to a close, they also have other solar systems? And I'm pretty sure the war- excuse me, the first 'police actions'- started on either an Arachnid or Terran colony world in the book.
They should do this show agian but with some better animation. I like it because its more realistic then the movies(becuase in the movie they dont wear suits) lol

We think we're the most advanced race just because we are on our own planet, i hate to say it, if aliens get here, we're screwed. cuz it means they can get to us but we can't get to them ;)
