He had used his powers to resurrect the daughter of the ruler of the synagogue as well. It was the final act He had to do - to show He was master over death.
It's all a bit arbitrary isn't it? Jesus intervenes and uses his special powers for a friend. All the others, who aren't on frriendly terms with Jesus, can rot - literally. Please don't reply pointing out the symbolic importance of it all, or the fact that it foreshadows his own resurrection. I was fed all that at school too.
@chriskoutsakis955 Here is a good representation of jesus; go to the store and buy a rag doll, go home and cover it in chicken blood then hang that pathetic looking bloody rag doll on a stick.
Pray to it, there you have it ... jesus!
All christians suck and I wish that they all will choke on the vile vomit of the holy spirit and DIE!
Christ Jesus called Lazarus and his Labourers Friends and that meant they met His Ideals. Lazarus was an example of Resurrection that every one could see and to prove what Salvation is. But when Jesus Himself was Resurrected, then only those who believed in Jesus could see His Astral Body. Watch my over 2350 Videos.
You know I've been thinking this, and really I think I would NOT have been happy about this one bit if I lived in this town! I mean cmon, Lazarus had been in that hot cave for what, like, 4 or 5 days give or take. And he's all nasty, and what you're send him all smelly back into town. No one wants to sit across the dinner table from Lazarus thats for sure. Knowing my luck I'd work next to him and have to smell him all day. I'd be like, "Thanks alot Jesus!" Lazarus was a public nuisance.
@Horus515 dude he obviously went and took a bath or took a swim in a lake or river but he is not going to keep smelling like that if the power of God could bring him back to life the power of God will keep him from smelling the rest of his life....God wouldn't want him to be in misery
@Horus515 Well a bath won't take away the smell of dessicated flesh. But if you say the power of God took away what was probably a pretty ripe smell then ok I guess. I can't really argue with that.

I sure wish that redirect virus didn't wind me up at a church spammer when searching for Jesus.
