  • paradoxs new game looks good "supreme ruler cold war" :)

  • Does anyone have issues about game crashing after saving game?

  • 4me eu3 looks worse than eu2,but divine war changed it, so what's the point of FtG?

  • Did they ever get rid of the time limit? i hate playing on time i can't control the world in just 400 years...i need more time more!

  • @kxr225522 Yes you can choose your time limit in FTG.

  • @kxr225522

Go to defines there you can set the date.

  • does anyone know any cheats for this game?

  • @KantianEdifice Their are 3 of them that i know of Columbus, Torquemada and Champlain. F12 first

  • This is a game for windows 95?

  • graphic looks nice though.

  • How do you deal with rebellions in this game? I have tried playing as Japan and a few thousand revolting peasents will defeat a trained, fully maintained army that greatly outnumber them everytime.

  • I wish you would merge EU 3 with Victoria 2, I'm sick and tired of just playing different games all the time, try to do a smooth single run covering mideival times, rennaisance, enlightment era, industrial and modern.

  • @JOVANNENAD

just click with right mouse button on nation herb *for example chose grand campaing , and right click on france herb, --- whe rest of nations available will apear) greetz and simply chose what nation will you play

  • @JOVANNENAD just right clik on state and then chose

  • wtf -10*

  • i wish EUIII was like EUII and For the glory by having historical events, EUIII is too open ended, therefore not historical enough.

  • a little qustion. how is this game different to EU3? I mean why should I download this game instead of playing EU3? And is there the byzantine empire?

  • @RTWfan1234 yes,but only in grand campg

  • I just discovered all the Paradox games... I think I'll do nothing but computer gaming within the six next months.

  • do u know how can i play this game in internet or tell me ip. plz answer me

  • OMG the europa universalis 2 cheats work for "For the glory" !!!!

  • Worth the Try

  • i mean turns sorry

  • hey is this game by turn or rts or are you timed on your time?

  • the intro is CARLOS V IMPERATOR ? ( spanish king ) ¿?

  • @CapitanFiro Yes, Emperor Charles V/Rey Carlos I of Spain

  • what is the diffrence between this game and Europa Universalis III?

has this game just better graphics?

  • nope, it doesn't have better graphics. it does have a plenty of new sprites though, a new AI and gameplay mechanics, also they've added a plenty of new possibilities to mod the game and they're constantly working on upgrades afaik. you'd better ask on their forum.

apparently they gave in to the gravest demands of their fans

  • thanks man! i

i'll head to their forums right now ;-)

  • Whenever i cant sleep i turn this game on.

  • A PATCH IS AVAILABLE PEOPLE

  • i play hearts of iron, eu, victoria... but this game i dont understand the mechanics... 15 infantry, highest possible morale versus 2 rebel= defeat to the soldiers? i dont know did they calculate it because it does not show the battle modifiers unlike hoi or viki

  • @JurishzteR good point, you should adress this on their forum, they are holding a list of "what to do in the patch"

  • @JurishzteR which reminds me of my nephew who played EU2 and FTG for almost ten years now. If you lose, try going back to the province you came from, then try again. Every time a dice is rolled, so there's always a chance of losing. But i also found rebels very hard to defeat. It is duly noted by FTG-developers.

  • they need to fix multiplayer for this

  • @iKillMedics They will, there will be a patch available soon, with more historical/random events and stable multiplayer

  • @iKillMedics The patch is out 1.1

  • there in question remains.. why not sue mymap mod to replace original one.. agceep work with that as well (old version tho)

  • A little late dont you think Paradox... fans... whoever made this?

  • @ScarcticCG Never too late to make something even more fun to play, maybe you are only referring to the sprites and graphics?

  • Plus, this initiave should have been done ages ago when EU2 still had a decent following, Paradox moved to slowly to release the code.

  • Overall, I was expecting alot more from FTG, more changes...as it is, its just EU2 with window dressing, sorry to say.

    Wish it wasnt true.

  • wow... 32 players on multiplayer..

  • this is the same of EU2. but i have missed one of the most interested thing in this game, you can not change the culture of any town. for example: constantinopel was an greece culture(orthodox), after 1453 is it a turkish cultur(sunni). you can only change the religion but not the culture and its very unhappy

  • After the Ottomans take Constantinople an event fires which changes the culture and religion if you choose the historical path.

  • i dont mean only constantinople, i mean, why cant we change the culture in bosnia to german?

  • It is abit far fetched in such a small time line aint it? Unless you were to go on a genocidal rampage.

  • genocide? you fucking jewish gay! this is only a game and i want to change the cultures of the towns to my nationality culture! damn it!

  • Jewish fucking gay? ...why reduce yourself to name calling? There, there, feeling better now?

  • Whats the difference between this game and EU3? It looks ALOT like EU3.

  • actually it looks more like EU2 or EU1. I think the map is the same.

  • Hi everyone! Quick update compared to EU II: ·Simplified and improved user interface ·New graphical content incl. tailored sprites for individual nations & cultures ·All original scenarios improved & rebalanced ·Improved AI ·Vastly improved modability over EU II · Gameplay improvements including; - New core types of warfare - New privateer leader type - Reworked & improved spread of Protestantism - Reworked rules for calculating supplies & attrition More info in the sidebar!
  • Hey paradox, I made a large mod for EU2 and Id like to know if it is 100% compatible with this game.

Also, does this count as a legal version of EU2?

  • Question Paradoxplaza: should we infer from this video / trailer that FtG uses the same soundtrack as EU3 or does it have its own score?

  • What does "simplified UI" mean exactly?

  • simplified "User Interface"

  • /shun ThePusen 60 for using a irc command on youtube

  • This looks exactly like EU2. Now that we've all moved on to EU3 and expansions, what's the point in paying $20,00 for this?

I used to play EU2 using the Pharaoh mission editor. Sheer brilliance. No idea where to find it anymore though...

  • I agree with techyourself, I'll stick with EU3 :P

  • All the future AGCEEP mods will be developed only for FTG, they won't work for EU2 anymore...

  • @techyourself go to pirate bay all games free man

  • @Sinelnyy sssssh man they can sue you

  • @techyourself pharaoh mission editor? wtf is that?

  • @uzickimajmunac

It was an editor that let you easily create your own scenarios (edit provinces, dates, events, countries, etc.) instead of having to go through all the csv's yourself :) E.g. start as USA in 1400 or set all selected countries to 1 province. Unlimited fun!

  • @techyourself Personally I like this for some reason better then EU3. My first EU game was #3 but I saw this one one steam a year or so ago and got it. Its less complex for sure, but I like it. EU3 is a great game also

  • haha, one doesnt play the europa games for the stunning graphics, and thats what is so lovely with their games, they dont go for fancy on the surface, its all depth. i one is looking for fastpaced stunning graphics then this is the wrong title, if one enjoys a true strategy/simulation game, likely this is bingo.

    /me goes webshopping

  • You are waiting most of your time playing Hearts of Iron 3...

  • I'm enjoying myself when I play it, so I'm not wasting my time playing it. Just because you think it's waste of time doesn't mean it is. Actually me writing this comment as a response to your BS is.

  • Most people who enjoy EU2/HOI2/Victoria/CK enjoy themselves when they look at the "crap" graphics. Preferring good graphics over inferior gameplay is hardly being educated.

  • I've also played HoI 2 and enjoyed it very much despite the crappy graphics. HoI 3 is also superior to 2 in other ways than graphics, for example, when playing as Finland, you can afford to lose one or two provinces to Soviet Union, while in HoI 2, the strategically important province of Oulu is just 2 provinces away from the border.

  • @HonestObserver "crap" graphics are in this case inferior to gameplay value. :)

  • You sucks and you are shallow

  • Such an educated opinion you got there. Prefering fairly good graphics better than horrible graphics isn't beign shallow, for your information.

  • Hmm, looks good...I think Supreme Ruler does it better though. How much is this?

  • EU2 is a great game.

Presently I dont think there's enough changes in FTG to warrant getting it if your a veteran of EU2., although I really like the new sprites.

  • This is different from EU how?

  • At least they di not pull an infinity ward, and gave the modders credit and a cut.

  • a eu 2 mod? lol jk

  • Well, I must admit, even if I'm alone, that I prefer a nice beautiful and light 2D game than something in 3D, slow, for actually nothing more in the gameplay than the 2D.

It's very brave to do this and I'm happy they do not make this game with the same design as HoI III or EUIII

  • EU3 is one of those games that I dearly wanted to get into and bought it on release day, but because I'm not a geography major, I never could get into it. Those popups that occur asking you to confirm something with another country and only the ability to confirm or cancel, and yet since I don't know that country and the window stops me from checking things out, Im expected to give a split second answer. This always left me flat with EU3. I always hoped they'd change it, but never did they.

  • Well I don't know if it's different with the expansions but I have EU3 and both expansions and when an event happens you can pause the game and look around the map, also there is a button on the right that you can use to search for provinces.

  • Really? I'll have to have another look then. But it's always bugged me that there isn't simply a button that says somethign like 'GOTO" that would simply take me to that province, (place on the map) from whom the request came from. That would so simplify finding where the requests come from, and eventually teach the user some basic old world geography from the vast amount of events that pop up in the game. Thanks for the reply, I'll load it back up and see what's up with this.

  • I know what you mean, even though you can pause the game, and even though there is a button to search for provinces I can sometimes take 5-10 minutes looking for some obscure country. I've even resorted to alt+tabing to google the countries before. :) really though this isnt to big of a problem. Another thing is sometimes you will get a message and you can click on the Coat of Arms(the shield) that came with the message and it will teleport you to that nation. However sometimes it's your shield.

  • this sucks the most provinces are not right am staying on eu 3 complete thats for sure, its like turning back to stone age playing this :D

  • EU3 has crappy graphics and lacks historical flavor and charm. You might as well play Civ.

  • @HonestObserver EU3 i have to agree, FTG is another kind ;-) I find the map of EU3 too blocky (no other word) The map in FTG is beautifully curved, like the maps those days were.

  • This is EU2 lol.

  • Awesome!!!

  • Looks like E.U.3 with historical scenario's and events..

  • this europa universaalis II with music from eu III. what gives?

  • Seems like EU2 with the newer features.

Never got on with EU3, probably give this a whirl.

  • Woooow must have this! love you paradox <3

  • It's made on the enigne of EUII by a group of modders from the Paradox Forum, but with acces to all hardcoded stuff of the EU II engine. That's what I understood about it ;-)

  • EU 3 looks better than this methinks.

  • EU3 is better for going off the historic path while For the glory is more for those that want to follow an historic one.

  • Its engine is crap.

  • this coming from somebody who probably never read the DDs and looks at the games for their graphics

  • Trollin'

  • Why do you have an Antifa icon in your profile if you're going to be racist?

  • looks like EU2

  • New graphics - but that might be it.

  • What is it any different to europa universalis 3?

  • Really not sure what's different. Looks about the same as EU.

  • just what i was thinking after seeing the video
