  • Hey Sean, I was wondering what forums you went to to get your vast amounts of geek knowledge ( besides the stuff you have cultivated from your years of experience) and what website you get the dvd facts from?

  • I'm gonna get all 3.

  • You are a very angry man. Angry angry man....what you need is an ELEPHANT MAN.

  • @jiidee ALL HAIL THE ELEPHANT KING!!!!! That was some serious pachyderm badassery.

  • @Zaranyzerak PACHYDERMIS REX!

  • Go to movie censorship for differences on any movie

  • @dvdmike007 I did. It listed the differences in explicit detail, and gave plenty of time markers for where the differences were, but didn't give the total running time for either version.

  • They are re-releasing the Conan BD with the correct audio

  • @dvdmike007 Awesome! That's one I'll double-dip on for sure.

  • I find it a travesty that the original Mono soundtrack wasn't included. It's not like it would have taken that much space up on the disc. I usually research a film and try to listen to the film in its' original format, such as Conan in mono.

  • Technically Blade Runner has a 'sequel'. The film Soldier starring Kurt Russell is in the same universe. Also, the film Hardware by Richard Stanley feels very much to be in the same universe, though fans know it is a 2000AD film.

  • A rant about the lack of runtime info?

    You seem stressed Sean

  • why do they now put extras on blu ray only? i hate that.

  • awsome review.

  • great video!! can u do a video on the terminator movies? id love to see you talk about t5!!!?? and what you think they should do with it!!!!!!!!!! thanks

  • They did the same freckin thing with Pirates 4 On Stranger Tides I had to get the 3D Version for all the bonus material. Freckin studio idiotisy! Good stuff as always buddy but man I watch you the headphones & that IMDB about made me deaf! hehe

  • @itsfrank0 Watch the new video for my thoughts on the TV shows. I haven't seen Red Sonja.

  • @Zaranyzerak

How about Kull the Conquerer, I remember reading that the script was orginally going to be Conan 3, but it was canceled and made into Kull instead

  • @snakes3425 Yep, that's correct.

  • loving this series of vids

  • They did the same thing with The Terminator for the mono and changing it to stereo and changing the sound effects. I always watch Terminator with the original mono on the DVD, since it's weird hearing the stereo version.

  • They are doing the same thing with the third Transformers film.

  • Just picked up the animated series (season 2 pt1) It's out!

  • @cloontrooper Ron Perlman played Conan's father.

  • Not sure if someone mentioned this, but i don't feel like sifting through the comments but, i think the villain in The latest Conan movie is played by Ron Perlman, the Ron Perlman, Hellboy himself!

  • @Tylerd172 FYI, the villain in the new movie is played by Stephen Lang. Ron Perlman plays Conan's father.

  • @CinemaRaiders wow i goofed pretty hard right there

  • @Tylerd172 No, not that hard. I mean, Ron Perlman is in movie...

  • offtopic but kept noticing it, have you cut your hair around your ear? it doesn't look right lol

  • Thanks for the info regarding the missing pieces of music in the Conan The Barbarian film score. I still have the old laserdisc released back in the 90s. Would you happen to know if the film score has the same issues in the LD that it has in the non-mono blu-ray?

  • @TheJr3008 As far as I was able to learn, it seems the issue only exists in the 5.1 mix. So if it's anything other than the 5.1 mix, the audio should be fine.

  • The Extras being only included in 3D versions is a pretty shitty move. It’s been done with Cars 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strangers Tide. I don’t have Panther eyes and wearing glasses over my actual glasses is a hassle. What matters is the detail in High Definition not things popping in my face. Fortunately Thor, Captain America, and Tron Legacy have all the extras in their 2D version. But I never have been against a trend more than this.

  • nice job on all 3parts .

  • zannarak no fucken run time you ripped me of prepare to die i'm Humio Montona.

  • IMDB, the Wikipedia of the movie world, sometimes infomation on that is inacurate. :( Well Wiki states the original theatrical cut is 129 mins, so add an extra 5 mins and that's 134 mins, so I assume that's the running time. Unfortunately Amazon dosen't list the Blu-ray running time. :(

  • Why are blu rays released with these obvious screw ups anyway? I would assume that someone has to watch the blu ray and give it the ok? I could be wrong though.

  • UK Barbarian = 2 hrs 10 min

    UK Destroyer = 1 hrs 43 min

  • @REsonic Is that with or without 4% PAL speed up calculations?

  • to zannarak have a nice night dude and remember. Barbarins Hooa! lol

  • A little of topic, are Blu-ray book packaging releases better then the normal packaging releases? i mean the extras on the disc them selves. Im not a fan of the book packaging however i do love extras. also dose anyone know of a good site to compare releases.

  • I'm a big fan of Conan for me Arnold will always be Conan but that's just my taste,I heard the UK version of Conan has a scene cut from it where a horse falls over or gets knocked over?

  • I think I have an answer on the cut lengths it seems overly complicated... people say the theatrical cut is 126 mins, although its reported to be 129 mins and the extended cut has a 90 second scene apparently added back in which brings it upto 130 mins (thats according to the AVS forum).
